Try doing things. Help old people shop for groceries. Volunteer to clean up beaches. Write a book. Ask how can you be valuable to others and the world. How can you cultivate more compassion? Not what will I talk about with my co-workers and neighbors and relatives? I guess that defines their pathetic asses.
