Planes, trains, etc., and not a peanut to be found

Posted by Annie
I don't understand the logic.

I'd write a letter to the airline company. And next time, pack a pack of peanuts!
Apparently, some people are so allergic to peanuts, that even the peanut dust that may fly out of the bag would cause an allergic reaction. Having walked the earth for at least 30 years, and never hearing about the severity of some folks' peanut allergies until now, I'm not quite sure what the deal is. Here's an illustrative story...

Browsing the peanut allergy website, one would come to the conclusion that this mostly affects children. http://www.peanutallergy.com/
How unbelievably timely...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd head to a vending machine for some peanuts as soon as I heard that announcement.

Oh, and I'd leave the empty bag in the lavatory. smiling smiley

They're doing it in schools as well. Banning peanuts and/or peanut products because someone's Pweshus Mirakul has issues with the things.

I used to look forward to the airline snacks when they still served peanuts. Now all they ever have is pretzels. Pretzels taste disgusting. It's such a disappointment now when they walk down the aisle handing them out.

Screw these kids and their stupid allergies!
does there seem to be more allergies, like peanuts etc, when i was young, there was not many apart from hayfever, this is in the late 70's to early 80's when i was in school, has something changed since then, that makes kids more prone to allergies, could it be the artificial stuff thats pumped into foods, or that people are hyper clean now, the bodies dont get used to small doses of particulate matter, i cant eat seafood, and blueberries, but thats only within the last 8 years, before then there was no problem, my brother asparatme, and peanuts (he only developed it recently and he is 45)

are we creating allergies, due to modern lifestyles.
Yes, we are creating allergies (up to a point). Idle hands are the Devils' workshop.

If you don't give your immune system something to do, it will *find* something to do.

Go play in some dirt,
