With that "there is no way to stop yourself from becoming your lame-o parents by having kids" The same attitude of "there is no way out of it" I think that social pressure hits some people so insanely hard that they mistake it for a "natural" urge.

Either that, or they just fall into it without any thought at all. Birth control is too difficult a concept for some folks. Btw, whenever I read articles like that I always think, "why would a sane person do that to him/herself? Why ruin a good relationship that way?"

I don't consider it an whine/IQ whatever test (having kids or not). The test comes when people choose to have kids and then whine about it to anyone who will listen, online or in-person = low IQ/stupid/whiny baybeez/whatever. Extra bad points awarded for the worst behavior: whining to a captive audience.

Next time I'm in earshot of someone at the grocery store (or wherever) whining about their kids to the poor cashier, waitress, etc. I may have to pull the ole be thankful for what you've got, you could be barren like me (hahahahahaha).
