I can't read the full article because of the pay wall, but this doesn't surprise me one little bit. Moos practically get away with murdering their own sprogs, and get off with basically a slap on the wrist.
I imagine the judge in this case decided to let her go because these sorts of crimes are more 'white collar' crimes, and nobody was killed or injured. The unfortunate thing is that society suffers as a whole because of these crimes.
I'm sure if a CF person tried this, they'd get the book thrown at them.
It's totally unjust, and I hope that the judge in this case gets called to the carpet for the ruling.
