Re: Kre8ive Names

I've got a few more gems for you guys. A girl I work with recently sprogged, and when she was searching a baby book for names, these are a few that she found:

Cum-Stain-I have no words for this...just....ugh...REALLY?! (Yes, it really is spelled that way in this book, I was informed!)
Cialis- Yes, like the penis-get-hard pill! Oh boy, what if it turns out to be a girl?
Cymbalta- We've got a future manic-depressive on our hands!
Xanax- Gee, you should've just named the kid, "insert general anxiety disorder here".

In a fucking PUBLISHED BABY BOOK!!!!!!! :headbrick:headbrick:headbrick
Gawdz, people are so stoooopid, and getting stooopider! Although, cum-stain is shockingly appropriate when you consider how most children act these days! waving hellolarious

I wonder what other fucked up kids they could produce together?

The answer to your question is quite simple, my darling:
Cymbalta
Cialis
Xanax
and not to forget lil' Cum-Stain, of course!

How do you even pronounce Nevaeh?

I've seen Tequila for a girl a few times. Must have been the conception trigger.

My name is Angelia. Angela with the i added. This isn't really all that bad, but I've had trouble with it all my life. Get called An-ge-leeee-a all the time. God I hate it. Does you no good to correct them. Even if you do a few times, they always revert to their pronounciation. So, I've given up and just go with it. Also sometimes get letters added and become Angelina or Angelica.

Even though I've never had a nanosecond of wanting kids, I did make up baby names. I'm weird like that. They're Natalie Ann and Hunter Erich. Really original, huh?

I've heard it pronounced Nuh-vay-uh

No matter what, it is one of the more ridiculous trendy names. If I ever talk to someone planing on naming a kid that I just may try to bitch slap some sense into them.

My boss's youngest kyd is named Nevaeh. It took me forever to realize that it is Heaven spelled backwards. Real original, huh? The funny thing is, that kid is soooo not heavenly...far from it actually. She is one of the most devious 9 year olds I have ever met.

"Sarytini = Serenity"

Sarytini? That sounds like a drink that may come with little unbrellas and sparklers.

Shit you not, moo signed her up for summer reading at our library. I was having a hard time pronouncing it and moo got frustrated and said, "Her name is Serenity."

And to think Serenity happens to be one of my favorite names too. Before I realized having kids was optional, I used to imagine having a daughter I named Serenity Blossom. I eventually got a doll for that.

I've heard three pronunciations: Nuh-vay, Nuh-vay-uh, and Nuh-vye-uh

Today I found out that a friend of a friend has a son named Kable. Wtf?

I also had a customer at work today named Dolphin. I like dolphins, but why would anyone name their child that?

I know of a few, I had classmates in school when I was younger with names that did not really fit into US culture (from the "you named your kid WHAT? *rational friend of moo/duh chokes on craft beer*" category: Nimai, Shalika, Eleazar, Imani, Jeroboam and Takara). Yes, two couples seemingly named their kid the same thing as a jumbo wine bottle and the company that brought the world Transformers. And they were not of the cultures the names originated from either.

One of my cousins named her kid Keaihra. Every time I see it I keep thinking it looks like someone tried to spell diarrhea and failed.

So. Kanye West and Kim Kartrashian named their freshly hatched loaf...North. The kid is named North West. The apocalypse is near. Leaving the planet.

Former student:

Chyna'v Sofine (Normal last name)

China Vee So Fine. This is a name tailor-made for Springer.

Yeah, I was about to post about that North West loaf. I think 'North South Easton West' would cover more bases.... but then... maybe South and East are for the next sprogs.

Couldn't decide whether they wanted to name their loaf Tiffany or the original Greek version Theophanes. So they created a fucktarded compromise.

People are just making shit up. I don't have an issue with ethnic names (I had a Swaikorn in class last year) but the random nonsense with unnecessary punctuation (D'Avanesha, D'Vasia) or naming your kid after a product (Velveeta) needs to end.

I went to college with a guy named Commander, he pulled it off well though.

While I wandered through Goodwill today I heard some duh saying his she brat's name over and over again. Timber. Yes, you read that right. I had to bite down on the inside of my mouth to keep from making a snarky remark or laughing.

I've got one I saw at a doctor's office recently: Gar-Ray. (Maybe supposed to be some
variation of "Gary"?!) I took a second look at the signin sheet, and yep, it was still there,
so I wasn't seeing things!

Cheers,

The Zorkcon battle cruiser began aggressive maneuvers so we ordered BATTLE STATIONS and armed the Gar Ray...
