Re: Autism is an excuse!

Seems to me that I recall some claims that some young children with autism develop bowel inflammation problems with the related fun times in the bathroom before autardism symptoms begin appearing in earnest. But this seems to be mainly from the Jenny McCarthy–allied crowd, so it's hard to say how seriously to take this. It isn't clear, either, assuming there is some truth to these claims, how the condition manifests itself as the autard gets older.

I'm not buying this myself, and not for a minute do I believe that the kid here should have been entitled to cut in line or go in front of another person to use the bathroom.

We don't know how long this kid's been waiting to go before he even got into line. Moo could have been having fun dealing with something else and to hell with little shit's needs.

If someone of any age or mental status has incontinence issues, for any reason, they do NOT need to go out into public without a diaper on, period. If I couldn't control the doody coming out my bumhole, I absolutely would NOT rely on the potential kindness of strangers to let me use the restroom first. How HARD can it be for these women with kids who can't control their bowels or bladder to understand this concept? The inconvenience to strangers aside, it CAN'T be any fun for the kid OR the moo for him to have an "accident" away from home.eyeroll

If YOU are the "exception" to what I am saying, then why does my commentary bother you so much?
I don't hate your kids, I HATE YOU!

This got me to thinking. When I was little and couldn't hold it for the line in the bathroom or if we weren't near a bathroom my dad had the perfect solution.

We carried old bottles and drink cups (for sis) when we traveled just for the potty emergencies.
