"....United announced that they are going to stop allowing parents with small children to board early. Now parents will have to board with their section, even as they clutch car seats, strollers, diaper bags, and the dozen other large-scale items that make traveling with babies such a nightmare. YAY United!NEXT let's get rid of "kids fly free" I am sure many will say suck it up, you don't have to fly, and sure, that may be true. But as a mom, I am disgusted by this. Flying is hard enough for ANYONE, let alone parents with our hands full of things, plus kids. We need the overhead compartments and the extra time to get settled, and this will make it practically impossible for one parent to even consider flying alone with a child. GOOD, because we don't WANT them flying with their brats in the first place! WE DON'T CARE if your hands are full or how haaaard it is! Take your car, an open air boat where no one is "trapped" with them, a train where you can stuff them into a compartment, or whatever, but keep your pesky little wailing shitsacks OFF the plane! ANYTHING that encourages them to fly with kids being discontinued, like this or the "kids fly free" bullshit, is A-okay with me! It's not just that, though. We are also a society. And it says enormous amounts about our society if we treat children badly. HOW is not getting special treatment for YOU, "treating children badly"? Parents of young children and babies know how much we are hated on planes. And it isn't just planes, either. We are hated in restaurants, on subways, on buses, and on city sidewalks. I am so glad my children are no longer babies so I don't have to endure the double stroller glance of fury. Anyone with a double stroller who lives in a city knows that look, full of stink-eye and rage. The thing is, it's not about special rights or a sense of entitlement or whining. It's very simple. It's about not being an asshole. Yeah, I AGREE, only it's the parents who are assholes when they drag an annoying kid onto an enclosed plane, NOT everyone else! ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- ------- If YOU are the "exception" to what I am saying, then why does my commentary bother you so much? I don't hate your kids, I HATE YOU!

I would like to deliver a smack to the next cunt who uses the sentence "As a mom" or "It's so hard" in any sentence at any point in her breeder brained life. If you think "it's so hard" why pray tell did you choose to breed? Not just once but multiple times? Suck it up and do the damn job you signed up for, moo. Preferably without the pissy whining that makes you sound as mature as your spawn.

Well, Moo-Cunt has got one thing right: That most people hate her, her shrieking loaves and oversized double-wide stroller. We can't stand the fact that she demands special treatment; above and beyond everyone else. She hates the fact that as a moo, she is NOT being heralded as a saint, martyr and goddess...the way she believes 'The Village' should view her. People could care LESS about how hard today's moo-cunts have it, or how difficult it is for them to wrangle their noisy bastards while trying to get on a plane. It isn't our problem, lady! Suck it up, Buttercup! That's the world. People don't want to hear your bastards in planes, trains or fancy restaurants. They are sick and tired of dealing with your misfits because you don't wish to change your life to accommodate the rest of us. Society hasn't changed; entitled moo-cunts have only gotten worse, and now expected society to bend to their wishes, while offering nothing in return. The fact that they have graced the planet with yet another mewling, shrieking, snot-nosed resource sucker, doesn't make them special. If anything, are just another annoying breeder...like all the rest. I hope to see more trends like this in the future. Less bastards on planes = better plane trips for other passengers and less chance that the plane will have to be grounded because of someone's uncontrollable bastard.

Great, are they going to start holding them to the once piece of carry-on baggage rule soon? It should be one piece of carry-on baggage (which must fit in certain dimensions) per seat, not per person, as well. There is no fucking way their shit meets the requirements, which those overhead bins are always full to bursting.

I fail to understand how United is treating children badly with this new policy. Now if they had said that all children will be required to be in cages and flown in the cargo hold, then she may have had a point (although I would wholeheartedly agree with this in the unlikely even it ever happened), but by not allowing moos extra time to get all their shit on board, well, that is hardly treating children badly. Dramatic much? If United decides to get rid of its' "kids fly free" bullshit, they will have my business for life.

" We are hated in restaurants, on subways, on buses, and on city sidewalks" YES. YES YOU ARE. "It should be one piece of carry-on baggage" The babby? they DO fit in the overhead compartment.

United is adopting Continental's policy postmerger. Continental stopped that crap long ago, and your oversized shit is gate checked, unless you bought a seat for that car seat. Last pure CO flight I flew they allowed first class, elite status, uniformed military and disabled passengers on first. Some moo kept bugging the gate agent but she said to wait until her row was called. (For the record, I hate zone boarding. It is a clusterfuck no matter who does it.) The double stroller hate, by the way, is for the assholes who ram their Bugaboo Donkeypunch buggy into the backs of our heels, or expect us to move into the street or off the jogging path so you and the mombie brigade can walk side by side. And they will also be gate checked. As for the overhead bins, the rest of the passengers also need them and many of us travel light to avoid checking bags. Stuff the baby shit under the seat, especially since you already get special allowances of not counting diaper bags as carry-ons. Last time I flew my cat, I had to count her as a carry-on which meant checking bagsā¦and pay a fee for her to boot. (United, for the record, still makes you pay but no longer counts carry-on pets as a carry on bag.) The comments show that a lot of parents would rather not be on the plane earlier than necessary. For good reason. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From a bottle cap message on a Magic Hat #9 beer: Condoms Prevent Minivans ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tranquilizers work only if you follow the advice on the bottle--keep away from children.

If parents are aware of this, then why don't they try to be more considerate of others?! They would not be hated if their children were quiet and well-behaved. Don't they remember When They Were a Child Once(tm), that things were not always this way? Don't they realize what has changed to make it so? It's not us, it's THEM.

"It's not just that, though. We are also a society. And it says enormous amounts about our society if we treat children badly"----so now if no special treatment = badly???? "Parents of young children and babies know how much we are hated on planes. And it isn't just planes, either. We are hated in restaurants, on subways, on buses, and on city sidewalks."---really? if this was me, maybe i wuld go thru i don't care phase, but if it was day in and day out, I think i would avoid these things until the kiddies are like 11+ years old. You can do other fun stuff in your yard, local playgrounds and the like, you don't have to go all these places necessarily and aggravate everyone. "The thing is, it's not about special rights or a sense of entitlement or whining. It's very simple. It's about not being an asshole. "---it sounds like it is exactly about special rights, etc etc. Once again, no special treatment= being an asshole.... so tired of it. make it go away.

I'd like it for kids to be on mandatory Benadril and it's like. That will help their little ears and will put them to sleep. Wonders for other passengers.

I've been lurking around your boards for a few weeks now. Observed some interesting posts. Being the keeper of a 17 month old probably makes me the 'enemy' but I just couldn't let this one go. Is the author of that article serious???? Really??? I was waiting for the part where she said boarding with young children first makes it easier for the other passengers. Less waiting in a cramped aisle line. No chance of knocking someone with a stroller or bag. No sticky hands touching someone else..... That's how I would see it. Getting a baby n accessories to and from can be a fine art. And I HATE when I feel like I'm holding anyone up while I struggle with a squirming toddler n her billion bags, toys and associated junk. But this daft cow thinks it should be about her????? Smh.....and now I'm going to wonder how many people see me and mine like this because of some entitled moocow

Being the keeper of a 17 month old means you are not welcome to post on our board. I appreciate your thoughts and viewpoints, but since you are a moo, it has no place here...and nobody really cares anyway. Also, since you have decided to post on a CHILDFREE board, which prohibits parents from posting, it's a good indicator that you are the very same type of person that we are griping about in this very thread. ETA: I also have to say is up with being a child's 'keeper'? Is it a pet? A handbag? Since when does someone 'keep' a chyld? You are supposed to PARENT your child...not treat it like an object.

American Airlines no longer allows famblies with brats to board early either. They board when their group is called. Woe betide the moo who tries the tactic of bugging one of those crusty gate agents at LAX, Goddess love 'em. They will make moo's life hell by not accepting the boarding pass or telling them to step aside because there is a "problem" with their boarding passes. Southwest Airlines still gives 'em some preference by boarding them after the "A" group, but no early boarding to grab the overhead bin space and especially get your breeder ass out of the exit seats.

Mum, totally missed the no posting rule. I have no idea how I stumbled across your boards in the first place. Wandered into 'babystalk' at some point in googling and kinda lurked around. Vast majority of the view points here I completely agree with. But I didn't see the no posting rule since I never left the Living Room. Sorry about that. I'll just read and be quiet from here on out.

Strike Two! Obviously you stumbled across our boards, have been warned about posting and have decided to bother us again anyway - knowingly breaking the rules. You were already TOLD not to post here, so wassup with that? Why would a parent lurk around on a hardcore CF board anyway? I smell a little self-loathing coming from you. If you've sluiced, you aren't one of us. Now please go away before you become fodder for our next troll-roast.

There are few occasions when brats should fly, if ever. They should be left at home with a sitter. That is for their comfort and for the comfort of other fliers. On all occasions, parents are to keep sticky fingers (and their owners) away from the clothes of others, preferably by keeping said fingers clean. Handy cloth-wipes should do the trick, even rags tucked in your diaper bag if your not feeling like spending a bunch. Be forewarned, this website doesn't take well to parents.
