But I wish she wouldn't have prefaced the conversation with an apology.

I hate how she has to repeat herself. The breeder bots can't process that. It's like they don't have the software to interpret choice and choosing NOT to have sprogs. When will this human detritus (who make up 99% of this wretched species) wake up from their borg existence?

I hate how the CF have to explain over and over and over that no, we do not want kids. But I don't recall any CFer harassing anyone, asking why they do want kids. I mean, personally, I don't ask because I don't care and don't understand WHY anyone would want kids.

Personally, I DO ask people WHY they want kids, mainly because I want them to think.
Of course, they're all usually very selfish and stupid reasons, and most of the time I don't change their minds by making them think about it, but I can try.

That line about having "too much glass in her house" reminds me of a great line from a 1997 letter to Ann Landers:

"Children? Why? I love elephants, but it doesn't mean I want them living in my house. Get real."

(The one from Greensboro is weird - sounds as though her only real mistake was buying all sorts of treasures that she won't be able to take to the grave. Why didn't she just give the money to causes she believed in, instead?)

It's never too late.

With all of this reproductive technology, it could be done. But if a person has not sluiced by this time, then the obvious reason is that they didn't want to. They accomplished all of the other things they wanted to do. If breeding was that high on the priority list, then they would've done it by now.

I haven't realy liked HER since the pet rehoming hullabaloo.
