I totally agree with you

I know exactly what you mean!

I have a step-kid and I used to try to post on step-parenting boards for advice. But as soon as they found out I didn't have or want kids of my own, they would flame me for just about anything I said. If I complained about my step-kid, they would tell me that I just don't understand kids and to stop being the evil-stepmother. If I complained about her mother, they'd bitch me out saying I just don't undestand about motherhood. But they'd post similar things about their own step-kids or their step-kids mother, and it was acceptable coming from them because they are "mothers".

I considered making a new name and faking my own kids to stay on those boards, but instead I left because I couldn't respect them anymore, since they were so hostile about anyone without kids.
