I'm so lucky my parents taught me all of this. I have the best PNBs ever, seriously. I'm 21 years old and I have never greeted anyone who wanted a handshake without one (I'm frequently the one to offer, and have even asked a friend with an amputated hand what proper etiquette is for those without right hands.) I send thank you notes, for gifts and job interviewers, and I call my grandmother regularly.

I was the type of child, thanks to my parents and my natural docility, that has my old elementary school teachers coming up to me in the mall and giving me ferocious hugs. Thank you so much, Mom and Dad.

i have always had a bit of a problem shaking anyones hands, to me it feels yukky, never got used to other people hugging, kissing me on the cheek. but i always say and still say please and thank you, i open doors for everyone regardless.
