"Wah wah wah, CPS stole mah baybeez!" Anti-CPS lulz
April 15, 2014
One place I like looking at almost as much as Smothering is a site called Fight CPS, which is basically a bunch of breeders and grand breeders having a circle jerk over why their kids were wrongfully "stolen" from them by the "Gestapo (CPS)."

Some goodies I'm seeing in the blog post comments from various posts (the ones I could understand anyway) with my thoughts in red:

* "I was accused of child abuse by some faking to be a CPS worker more then once. Never did they check her credentails or why she wanted my child whom she did not know."
Well if they weren't a real CPS agent/worker, why worry? What would someone possibly have to gain by pretending to work for CPS? Would that not be a crime? This makes no sense.

* Claiming that CPS commits perjury, and that it's a "waste of tax dollars being used to assist this group in the slandering of innocent people and the taking of children for nothing more than personal power-trip."

* Suggestions that parents should somehow steal their children back from CPS as revenge (which the blog author discourages, shockingly). I would love to know how exactly these scholars think they would steal children from the government. I would pay money to see it.

* One Moo claims "They took my 11 year old daughter all based on rumors. She is healthy, well taken care of, loved, fed, clothed, tucked into bed every night by me." Well I seriously doubt that if the kid was taken away. She also says the CPS worker even called herself a baby snatcher when the daughter was "kidnapped."

* Yet another Moo bitching that CPS should "mind their own business" and that those meanie-heads are using her mental illness against her, saying it makes her an unfit parent. No mention of what exactly the MI is. How convenient for Mommy.

* Replies whining about CPS workers being "sell-outs."

* Another heifer claiming that CPS stole her six kids because of a dirty house, and when she got the whole gaggle back, she was knocked up. Three months after the kyds are returned, they're all taken again along with the freshly shat seventh loaf. They allegedly took the new loaf because a particular couple wanted a baybee.

* Moo's sob story is that she was in the hospital following a car accident and was on painkillers, and her ex reported her to CPS for child abandonment. Despite her claims that her ex is an alcoholic, does drugs, fucks male inmates and looks at kiddy porn, HE has custody.

* CPS is not prosecuting a Duh who supposedly molested his daughter for 4 years because the interrogation might scar the daughter for life, but they're going to remove all the kids from Moo.

* From a Duh: "i got a tat on my arm that says FUCK C.P. S." But I bet this guy will claim he can't afford an attorney to get his dumplings back.

* "CPS was called to my house by my mother in law so she could rake my autistic sons SSI check."

* One Moo claims her 15-year-old daughter intentionally got herself taken away by CPS so she could go live in her boyfriend's foster home. A boyfriend that Moo says physically and sexually abused said daughter. Can kids choose their foster homes like that? Or could the boyfriend's parents say, "I want to foster this particular girl?" Or was the boyfriend a legal adult and did HE foster her, I wonder?

* Duh says his daughter (I assume adult) was accused of abusing her self-harming, mentally unstable stepchild. According to Duh, "DCFS was caught withholding evidence and in a conspiracy to defraud my daughter of a fair trial." And what exactly would DCFS gain by doing that? Owning a child that no one will ever adopt?

* Nevada Moo says herself, "There is a long history of domestic violence between him and I." Meaning between her and her babydaddy. She cannot fathom why CPS took her daughter away.

* "My 12 year old is staying with friends while CPS in Oregon is investigating charges by my adult stepdaughter that I yell at her too much." I have never in my life heard of CPS getting involved over verbal abuse. This is horse shit.

* Nevada Duh claims his kids were "stolen" a decade ago and were sold by CPS into a sex slave ring. He seems to believe that children "legally kidnapped" by CPS are trafficked.

* Another Duh leaves his kids in the care of his seizure-prone aunt whose probation counselor just happened to stop by in the 45 or so minutes Duh was away...also when Auntie was "under the influence." I can't imagine why someone would have a problem with Duh leaving his kids with his seizing, criminal, alcoholic/junkie aunt.

* Moo blames CPS for her becoming homeless and losing everything she has, but ohhh can someone pleeeeez help me get my daughter back? I have no idea if the foster home is as abusive as Moo claims, but why would they give a 7-year-old back to a homeless parent?

* Florida Moo says her 9-month-old was taken because of lies told by two teen boys. That's a new one, and random too. Not impossible, I suppose, but what would two teenagers have to gain by accusing Moo of abuse? How did they even know her?

* "I have a 2 month old with multiple fractures that I did not cause." No mention of other kids, babydaddy, relatives, etc. Doesn't matter if you caused them or not, Moo. The kid is too young for daycare, so obviously someone with regular access to the child did it.

* Moo says her son lied about being hit with a wooden spoon by her fiance, and Moo has the kid talk to CPS about how he WASN'T spooned (because that makes sense to tell CPS "I'm NOT being abused"). CPS accuses Moo of neglect and coaching the boy to say he wasn't hit.

* Moo says one of her relatives constantly reports her to CPS because said relative has a terminal illness and no children. Also plays the discrimination card, saying that CPS targets single black mothers. So...what, the relative is bitter and dying, and she gets her rocks off by making false reports to CPS?

* Some Moo started a Change.org petition to get her child back from CPS. Her son named "Ender." No details about why he was removed either. One particularly intelligent reader describes CPS as "shower of brutes and paedophile feckers."

Some of what I read I couldn't decipher, either because English was not the poster's first language or the poster was a fucking illiterate moron. But most of the stories fall into one of the following categories:

"I did absolutely nothing wrong and I'm a wonderful parent, but CPS took my kids for NO REASON!"

"I did (insert crime) and/or left my kids in the care of (abusive person), but I still didn't do nothin' wrong!"

"CPS lied about everything and created conspiracies in order to take my kids from totally innocent ME!"

"CPS took my kids because my house was slightly dirty!"

However, a vast majority of the stories on that site fall into ONE category:

"I'll make up a sob story about why CPS took my kids to cover up the truth about me abusing/neglecting/endangering them!"

It takes a LOT for CPS to want to take kids away, and while I'm sure mistakes are made now and again, there is no possible way they occur with as much frequency as these people all claim.

While CPS definitely has problems, I don't believe any of these stories. CPS cannot just barge into someone's house and take their child. That counts as burglary and kidnapping.

If it's anything like it is here, removing a child isusually the LAST resort after all attempts at working with a family have failed, or they feel that a child is in immediate danger.

We get those sob stories here too. Of course, Moo never did anything wrong and the meanie head social workers have it in for her. Of course, people do make false/malicious reports - my ex partner's ex wife used to do it, but when they come round and see for themselves, they usually work out the real reports from the bullshit ones.

If anything they are so afraid of treading on parents rights here that kids are not removed soon enough. Back in my yoof work days I remember thinking, why the fuck does this moo/famblee still have their kids living with them, in some cases. I remember doing a home visit with one famblee where I was doing support work with the teenagers, and I was horrified - the "slightly messy house" was a bomb site, cats and dog allowed to go to the toilet anywhere and nobody bothered to clean up, moo chainsmoked with the loaves in the same room, overflowing ashtrays everywhere and it stunk to high heaven. I remember thinking why are those kids allowed to live in this, it wasn't fit for a pig pen. Moo had been ordered to clean up time and time again but she would make some attempt at it for the inspection and then back to square one as soon as they took their eyes off her. Moo didn't work, of course, so it's not like she had anything else to do, oh, except get drunk and get high all day.

These moos should put themselves in the position of the social workers for a day, seeing neglected and abused kids all day and knowing that they can't do a thing about it until it gets so bad the children are in actual danger.

Hear hear.

The point with those people is that they don't GET what they are doing wrong. They honestly believe that it is not their fault and that it is the meanie CPS' mistakes. Babby was battered, but that is not their fault. Their home is a pigsty, but it is not their fault. It is NEVER their fault. No mistakes, no sir.
*sigh* Stupid idiots.

I honestly wonder if they rehearse their stories before posting them or if they're all so fucked in the head that they honestly believe they've done nothing wrong. CPS simply does not have the man power to go around to random homes, snatching children away from healthy, happy families for the sake of the rumored "bonuses" the employees all get for every child they take. They can't even handle all the genuine, severe abuse reports just because of the sheer quantity. So if CPS is removing children from these people, it's for a damn fucking good reason that the Moos and Duhs are conveniently leaving out.

CPS doesn't just break down the doors of random homes and abduct children without just cause. But as you said, t., NOTHING is ever the parents' fault. They refuse to take responsibility for anything bad that happens to their kids. They could shoot out their kids' kneecaps at close range and they'd still swear up and down that it wasn't their fault. Rather, they'd claim CPS must have snuck in the house during the night and shot the kid with a silenced, illegal firearm just to have the child removed from a perfectly healthy home and perfectly innocent parents because abducting kids makes CPS moist; and all the employees sit around laughing and bragging about the "good hauls" they got and what tropical island they'll be going to with their abduction bonuses.

A large city near me has been reeling from a scandal with CPS. The scandal involved workers closing cases because of a reward system in place for doing so, and generally ignoring evidence of abuse including hospital ER visits. Note that this is not the same type of behavior the halfwits in that website claim CPS does on a regular basis. The scandal broke last summer, and the fallout continues.

Many of us on Bratfree are pulling our hair out over cases of real abuse and neglect that protective agencies regularly ignore or sweep under the rug. One recent issue is homeschooling that is, um, not—but CPS usually says it can't do much, especially in states that have a lax legal structure governing homeschooling.
People who malign CPS caseworkers belong at the bottom of hell. I've known several personally and they work ungodly hours trying to help kids in the most wretched situations for like 30 grand a year. Many are CF and would fit right in here. One good friend of mine who was a former social worker says she wishes they would have issued her a Depo dart gun.

I have noticed that many CPS caseworkers have no children. I can understand that. And I agree, they do a terrify job, that takes a lot out of any person. I read somewhere that the avarage CPS worker last between 5 to 15 years, and I can get it.

Also, most of scandals I have heard about CPS are about kids not been taken away, like kman said. Currently, the idea is that pwechus is always better with biomum and biodad, even if they rape and beat pwechus. Ugh.

Cambion, I have often noticed that behavior of breeders, it is VERY childish, don't you think? They are like toadlers or very small kids, that never never never admit a mistake. I once saw a toadler throwing a vase in the ground. It shattered. I asked him if he did it and he said no. He knew I had seen him but went on saying no. Had a tantrum about it, too.
Usually, this behaviour stop somewhere between 8 and 10. But with breeders seem to go on indefinitively.

There was a case here several years back where I child died from having his head slammed into the wall by his mother. CPS had investigated this family numerous times and nothing ever came of it until this. I find these stories about kids being taken away for no reason hard to believe. It takes a lot to take a kid away, they can't just arbitrarily do it without due process.
Fucking hate these people. If they had a shred of love for their spawn they would own up to their bad parenting and acknowledge that their kids deserved better. I don't understand how someone can be so heartless and deluded that they can't look at how rare it is for kids to be taken away even in cases of SEVERE abuse and neglect and think themselves completely innocent. I think most of them do know, they just lie for the sympathy. How does that even make someone feel good, when the sympathy they get is based off total fabrication? They scare me. If they think they deserve to abuse kids, they're capable of all sorts of shit.

The "reasoning" behind why all these breeders are totally innocent is made up of a lot of factors, not the least of which is breeders are never wrong and nothing is ever their fault, which we already covered. Second is as much as they go on about how much they lurve their kids, I think most of them see their children as property, and therefore Mommy and Daddy are entitled to do anything they want with what they own, so someone stepping in to take their property away is what they view as unjust theft. Kind of like the people who will beat their dogs from one side of the house to the other, but if someone tries to take the dog away, they become very protective and claim they've done no wrong.

Third, and finally, there's the aspect of welfare. A lot of these Moos get ass-sitting money for each kid, so if those meenie-heads from CPS take the kids, there goes Mommy's paycheck. They become non-cooperative and belligerent because someone is threatening their livelihood and try to make CPS sound like the bad guys by conveniently downplaying or omitting the abuse or neglect that has occurred when they weave their little sob stories.
