All the talkies are all out talking about how "he wasn't accustomed to taking the kid." The kid went to daycare on Home Depot's corporate grounds which means duh took him in every day. The not part of the routine defense flew out the window on that factoid.

I did a year on grand jury duty, meeting every 4-6 weeks to plow through an asshole high stack of bills. For 6 months I was the assistant foreman, 6 months as a foreman. I've always been a bit of a mouse, but - damn - from some sort of resource, I learned to roar. It was generally a "hang 'em high" attitude on most cases for the majority of the jurors, but unless the abuse was truly egregious: pictures and vivid testimony, there was a helluva a lot of second guessing and yabbuts when it came to crimes involving children and their parents. Chiefly the "they've suffered enough" phrase was used, which I quickly slapped down. We were there to determine if there was enough evidence to go to a trial, not judge the person as to guilty or innocent, but most of the squabbling that occurred, my judgement question because "you've never been a mother," came in those cases. I swear, I aged 10 years, dealing with those people.

It's definitely going to be part of the case, the prosecution is saying "he wanted to live a child-free life", of course distorting what childfree really means but they will use that to show where his head was at - and of course it's back to demonizing us should the media dig back into this again.

The lengthy questionnaire that potential jurors have to fill out seems to indicate that a factor in selection is going to be if the person has ever had the kind of experience that Harris will use as his defense

Plus I suspect a good proportion of the 30-40 deaths are intentional. Invent a phone app. or device for a car seat and charge for it if so inclined.

Let's not forget the mandatory backup cameras

We have one on our RV. Once you learn how to navigate with the thing, you do recognize it as a useful tool. It just annoys me that the mandate for them to be installed on regular vehicles came about because of how many parents squished their twerps.

One of those articles had a low-tech suggestion: put your left shoe by the baybee when it's in your car. Can't leave the car and walk around without one shoe. Or how about putting your phone next to the kid?

ETA: there are any number of low tech things Breeders can do, and it's their responsibility to do what they need to so they don't end up with a dead kid. . Why should other people be forced to pay for all this chyld safety shit in cars when they don't want these features or have no use for them because they don't have brats or they remember the brats they have?

Exactly, find their own solution for not forgetting a kid in the car by making use of that clump of grey matter behind their eyes. Making everyone pay for speshual features to support this make as much sense as forcing everyone to buy minivans so parunts don't feel defective for driving them in the first place.

I don't believe that any of these children were accidentally forgotten.

That is pretty much the crux of the case. He was sending sexts and dick pics to women (and one underage girl) while his kid slow roasted in the car. The kid he was tasked to take to daycare every single day. Surveillance video had shown Harris returning to the car during lunchtime and placing two boxes of light bulbs inside. He didn't look at Cooper's car seat.

Detective said that duh had researched hot car deaths online. He also searched "age of consent in GA" and "how to survive in prison." He also apparently looked up the definition of murder; when he was arrested he told the detective there was no malicious intent, it was an accident.

And this is why I believe he should be nailed to the wall. He pre-planned the whole thing, and went about his creepy daily business, all the while KNOWING his kid was dying out there. If they find him not guilty, I will be disgusted.
