Gave a few bucks to help abused senior pugs, bombarded with "help my kyd"
November 20, 2014
So I find this on one of my Facebook pages:

http://www.gofundme.com/seniorpugsurgent

Long story short: Two senior puggies lose their momma when she dies. The bewildered and mourning 12-year-olds go to her adult kids who proceed to beat and abuse them. They were both kicked down a flight of stairs. The boy is now suffering hind end paralysis and the girl suffered head trauma. Rescue raising money for vetting and transport from Atlanta to Dallas to pug rescue there.

No sooner than I pledge 25 bucks my Twitter goes off. Thanks from the little old puggies?

Why, no. Someone trying to get money for their defecto-loaf. They want 250K (currently at 16K) for something that can be fatal but for the most part is treatable. Along with the de rigeur "poor widdle infant" pics. They harp a lot on other kyd fundraisers, because some kid in a third world country with a fatal issue if not fixed is making more money than "baby H@nn@h" is. So out of curiosity, I googled.

I discovered she is now actually a year and a half, they made nearly 8K off IndieGoGo last August (just after her birth), another 10K off IndieGoGo last December, and yet another 10K+ off IndieGoGo this March.

I don't give to kyd things. This is why. But if anyone wishes to help two poor old pugs the link is above. If anyone wants to send a lynch mob to the adult kyds' houses, call me.

I want to pick up a bus full of unruly kids and feed them gummi bears and crack, then turn them loose in Hobby Lobby to ransack the place. They will all be wearing T shirts that say "You Could Have Prevented This."
What utter cunts!

I hope those dogs find better homes soon, ones that are reminiscent of the lovely one they were given by their original owner.
If my lifestyle allows, when I'm done with school and can afford it, I would like to be able to adopt a dog with special needs…this is why. I hope these dogs get the treatment they need and a loving home.

People who abuse animals should be thrown in jail and left to rot.
I have a soft spot for seniors and special needs puggies. I have several seniors, and have had blind ones, not quite paralyzed ones, and believe my first one may be senile. Things like this make me stabby.

Sadly the update shows they were not well cared for by their loving owner either from a vetting standpoint. Both Big Mack and Maggie Mae have severe ear infections and eye infections.

They are guarded about Big Mack's ability to use his hind end again but the rescue is planning on using funds to buy him a cart so he can get around. I do hope the ex owners' house burns down with them trapped in it.

As for the kyd, she is in Canada....don't they have chyld-centric universal healthcare?

I am so disgusted by people who abuse animals. I am so sorry that these innocent little puggies had to go through such horror. People who do this sort of thing to animals should be jailed, as far as I'm concerned.

I would be annoyed by the loaf thing too, navi. Try to do something nice, and someone else is trying to guilt you into giving to their cause.

I don't give to loaf charities, either. I think that breeders and their defecto-loaves get enough money from other people. They don't need a CF person's money too.

MO6B, they got more than their share. Canadian=lots of loaf money from what I read (Canadians may confirm or deny...not really sure of how HC works.) Then several crowdfundings that gave them 40K already and they want another 200K+? If the kid's healthcare is paid for more or less, they are simply looking to not go back to work.

Guilt trips don't work for me....and I shut down even more when I see the real pics of your kid today which certainly do not show an infant riddled with tubes, as well as multiple crowdfunding accounts that have been fully funded.

As for the puggies here is update 2:

Good morning friends! Wanted to drop in and give you a quick update on Maggie May and Big Mack. I'm going to cheat and just copy/paste from their temp foster mom:

Happy to report that they both had their ear drops and Big Mack had both his eye drops. The big news..... They both ate very well this morning and drank a lot of water. Yesterday they didn't have the energy to do either. I had to use a g-tube syringe to get water in them and hand fed them a few bites of watered down dog food.

Last night Maggie actually cried when I left her. ( I call that progress) this morning Big Mack scooted his little wet back side across the floor to get to where she was standing.

she likes to stand at the gate and watch. She is housebroken. She screams when she wants to go out. Big Mack is holding his head up good today and looking around.

The doctor said yesterday that getting all that junk out of their ears would allow them to hear better. It was awful! She's wide awake today and being a nosy old lady the sweetest two babies ever.

And here are the precious babies:

Oh my God, what sweet faces. How could ANYONE abuse this pair of darlings?! angry smiley
bless their little puggie hearts. stupid asshat 'kids'.

which is a heads up: make sure pets are provided for in wills. perhaps this woman thought better of her crotch drops, but ... maybe she didn't know.

two cents ¢¢

CERTIFIED HOSEHEAD!!!

people (especially women) do not give ONE DAMN about what they inflict on children and I defy anyone to prove me wrong

Dysfunctional relationships almost always have a child. The more dysfunctional, the more children.

The selfish wants of adults outweigh the needs of the child.

Some mistakes cannot be fixed, but some mistakes can be 'fixed'.

People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one. Leo J. Burke

Adoption agencies have strict criteria (usually). Breeders, whose combined IQ's would barely hit triple digits, have none.

Super adorable! :emoheart
OMG, I want them. :emoheart I would be tarred and feathered if I brought home any more animals, however, as we already have four...
What lovely little puglets. Not usually a small dog fan, I've always had big dogs, but these two are just adorable. I don't know how anybody can wilfully hurt any animal. When I look at my dog and I see how trusting his face is, it just breaks my heart to think of humans abusing that trust and bond.

I would really like to boot those horrible people down the stairs who abused them.
They arrived in Texas this weekend and will see specialists. They are highly bonded; Mack is blind and Maggie "sees" for him. She screams when she is separated from him too.

They are beautiful but I need another one like I need a hole in the head. Here are more pics because who doesn't love a sweet puggie face.

Awww, my heart breaks for those two sweeties!

My sister had a pair of spaniels which she had until they both reached very old age. One of the spaniels went blind and the other lead him around. They were brother and sister, and were never EVER separated.

My sister and BIL were heartbroken when they finally had to have them put down. First the sister, then the brother. The brother cried constantly because he was so used to his sister, and it was extremely difficult for him without her to lead him. My sister had no choice because the dogs were in constant pain from arthritis and other serious physical ailments. Those dogs were like their babies, and they had them for around 17 years.

Call me selfish. When I die, I want any pets in my care to be euthanized. Unless hubby outlives me. Unlikely, as he is 20 years older than me. My cranky cat could very well end up abused. The shelter I got him from advised against adopting , and had me sign a paper promising to not sue them. They considered him a dangerous cat who had bit several people before being picked up by animal control. Since we did not have "wittle humans" to protect, I took him home so he would not be put to sleep the next day, as scheduled. Any animal living with us is guaranteed a lifetime of nutritious food, vet care, freedom from abuse, and unconditional love. I fear other people can not be relied on to provide for them as we do, and accept their idiosyncrasies. I also do not want risk them being adopted by families (being tortured by brats). My next dog will come from a breeder/rescue who would take her back, should I go meet "my maker". Any future cats will come from shelter. My reasoning for a purebred dog is some breeds are better suited to live with cats, while still being good guard dogs. ie. livestock guardian dogs. Can't risk my cat's life for a dog.
My cats will not likely outlive me, nor will my puggies. However, the pug rescue gets them back as part of the contract. Have a will that includes the pets. A few of mine came to me because their owners died and no one in the family wanted them.

The boy is not in good shape. Big Mack just had blood work and we are waiting for the results . They did full xrays and he has a massive tumor in the abdominal area . The doctor also said his back has been broke at some time long ago and fused together. We are waiting for his blood work results now and then he will have a ultrasound. They said it appears to be cancer but will not know just yet. They said it is the biggest tumor they have seen . If all his blood work comes back ok he will go in after the ultrasound and see what we can do surgery wise.

And these breeders have posted yet another one begging for another 20 grand. This time they are losing their house and car.

These people, if you read through the thread, have already raised nearly 50K in several crowdfunding accounts. In Canada, if I am not mistaken, life threatening illnesses are paid for. SO I have to wonder where all that money is going.

However, I see from one of the comments that I am not the only skeptic:

My heart goes out to your family. So sorry to hear of your daughter's medical needs. What is your name and what are your contingency plans moving forward, after your mortgage is caught up?
