Reminds me of the time I was about her age - the babysitter's house was a few blocks away from my grandmother's apartment. One day when I was outside playing with this other kid, I basically said "screw it, I'm going to my grandma's!" I was the only granddaughter (on both sides, actually), so my grandma used to spoil me rotten. This other babysat kid and I actually made it to the apartment building but my grandma wasn't home! We dinked around in the halls for a bit till my grandma's neighbor noticed these very young kids hanging around with no adults. She took us in, probably couldn't get information from us, and let us play with her grandkids' toys until my grandma got home and reunited us with a bevy of hysterical parents and the babysitter.

The best part was, my brother got a spanking instead of me because he was supposed to be watching out for me larious
