I've seen the Skeptical OB blog, and I do find it interesting. I find myself agreeing with many of the things she says, especially the parts about breastfeeding, and attachment parenting being tools to control women.
In this Slate interview, she states that La Leche League started out in the 1950's as a Catholic movement. Why am I not surprised? She also states that the original proponents of natural childbirth wanted white women to have more babies. While that may or may not be the case, I find that she writes honestly.

I think all this tit feeding for 5 years as attention whoring, co-sleeping with a teenage male, attachment parenting, special sneauflayke mumbo-jumbo is a direct result of women being fed a wagon of horse manure on how to raise their kids. The woman loses all sense of who she is after she births. She is no longer Ms. [Name here], she is now Somebody's Mommy, which is exactly what the religious fundies want for all of us.
Mods, if this is the wrong place for this, then move it to the patio if need be.
