A stranger decided to go old school on a toadler in a grocery store when he saw the duh wasn't going to. Shocking how many commenters were on the guy's side, but a few were claiming that they would shoot him. A lot of parents out there are disgusted by breeders and the rep parent's get because of it. Pretty ballsy dude.

There's a fine line between balls and brains. Once you physically assault another person you need to understand that they (or their handler) have every right to respond with similar violence. The guy was also intoxicated, allegedly.
To me it would have been funnier if the guy asked the parent to shut his kid up. This provocation would have ventured into more of a "gray" area and it would be easier to side with him.
