Woman complains at needing to buy ticket for baby at rock concert

http://www.thehits.co.nz/random-stuff/breastfeeding-mum-sparks-outrage-after-being-told-she-has-to-buy-an-ed-sheeran-ticket-for-her-baby/

"A breastfeeding mother hoping to attend the Ed Sheeran concert has been told she cannot bring her four-month-old son along unless she buys him an expensive ticket.

Kirsty McDonald purchased the $103 standing ticket for the UK crooner's sold-out Brisbane concert before she even had her son Leni - and wants to bring him to the venue in a baby carrier, with earmuffs for protection."

Cue mooing and lowing.

"The mother said it is 'unfair' she has been asked to purchase a ticket for her son, who she has brought along to sports matches in Queensland free-of-charge in the past.

"I just thought it was absolutely ridiculous. I'm quite angry," she told the ABC."

The entitlement. It burns.
Heh. They probably do that because they don't want noisy loaves at the concert. I think this would be a way of discouraging entitlemoos from bringing them to things like that. Who would want to sit next to a 'quietly fussing' loaf for the duration of an entire concert? I'm sure that the other paying customers, many of whom likely DID get loafsitters are probably quite happy about this.

I guess they can't outright ban people under, say, 15, unless they want to make it adults-only. Not catering to "child discounts" but charging the same price for everyone is a good way of reducing the number of disruptive children at an event, since breeders never expect to pay full price for children. If their argument is that the child is too young to understand/remember/appreciate it, it simply begs the question of why they are bringing the child in the first place.

First off, referring to her as breastfeeding mum seems designed to provoke an image of a baby starving to death during the duration of a concert. Everyone knows breastfeeding mums are entitled to bring their baybeez everywhere and for free too in order to avoid starvation! This means to any wedding, birthday party, bar, casino, strip club, library, etc. The option of staying at home or hiring help are overlooked.

Since she has attended "a number of events" with the noisemaker admitted for free then it is safe to assume she has the disposable income to buy loafie a ticket too. Pretty sure most events within enclosed spaces require a ticket for everyone admitted due to fire codes.

Why is she dragging a newly sluiced noisemaker to "so many sporting events" and at least one concert in the first place? How many events could have transpired in the 4 months of loafie's life? Does she think the loaf will have fond memories of the events? Does she think she will enjoy remembering an event where she had to hold a loaf the entire time and deal with the temperaments and neediness while trying to simultaneously enjoy the event? Or do the perceived udder rubs make it worth it?

So many unanswered questions with this article! breastfeeding howling crotch maggot

Well, she could always do what my mom did when she breastfed my brother for the first six months: she could pump, put the pumped milk in a bottle, and allow someone else to feed the screamer.

Oh, wait. That takes too much planning and commitment. My bad.
Because "I would do ANYTHING for my kid... except staying at home on my ass for a few months even if that means skipping a few concerts and sports events."
Rock concerts are NOT the best places for babies to be.

The loud noise from the amplifiers on stage can damage Loafie's ears.

Have today's breeders completely lost their minds??
