Some athlete lost his kid in a pool accident and has a preggo wife. A gofundme was set up for them and at least it only got thousands, I guess to help with their grief or something. It doesn't sound like a pro athlete would have trouble meeting funeral expenses, but the free money went his way anyway. I don't think many people hand over hard earned cash to pro athletes.

I have no idea who this person is but apparently they live in Coto De Casa, which is a private gated community which is exclusive. It is full of actors and athletes so I bet the home values are well into the millions.

According to online sources he is worth 8 million.

They probably have at the very least a nanny, housekeeper and gardener because you have to keep up appearances with your wealthy neighbors in CA. Somehow they've managed to allow only private schools within the gates and have kept a public school away, so maybe they are on to something with a gated community. Wonder how the property taxes work there?

But if your mortgage payment is $20,000 a month or higher I fail to see how a GFM at 15K or 30K is going to make any dent on debt if they have it. If they were poor and received the equivalent in cash for 1 month of rent it might make a world of difference, otherwise it probably isn't a big deal. And if they are living beyond their means then they need to sell and move away, just like anyone else would.

I wouldn't be surprised if the midwife set up the GFM to ensure she will be paid for her services. Maybe they owe her a bunch of past due payments.

I guess this article pretty much shows "preggo porn" several pics down. A lot of comments are saying they should in no way keep any of the $$$ and send it to a charity, but a few fools feel that even the richest parents deserve un-needed cash if a sprog dies.

Actually after looking at the pic way down I have noticed that some moos will do the home birth naked at home and then the duh will be standing there watching naked as the day he was born himself for reasons unknown. It is like they went back to cave days mentally or something. It is kinda hilarious, but no one mentions the bizzareness of it cause.....parents....everything they do is "normal"

Maybe they figure if someone is going to see them being naked and undignified, that person can look foolish, too. Although you'd think they'd be beyond caring by that point; certainly those times I've been in hospital gowns I've felt too miserable to care about much of anything.

Hey, ya never know. Set up a GoFundMe and word it in a way that makes you sound sympathetic, and I'll bet you'll get something for it.

They may still sue the neighbor even though his wife was supposed to be watching her own child.

I need a diagram to keep his personal life straight. He's spending a lot of cash to deal with his dick products. Two baby mommas and a wife, in and out of court left and right to sue the baby mommas.....sounds like a real charming guy.

Bodie Miller and his wife are making the talk show circuit. I took one for the team this morning and I watched Savannah Guthrie interview them. I stuck it out through the "as a parent," and "we are careful parents...." so you won't have to. Being the "professional journalist" that she is, Guthrie kissed Breeder ass and was practically crying herself during the interview. I'm sure if the responsible party had not been parents, all bets and the gloves would be off.

So here's the gist of it: The Millers live in a pricey gated community with pools everywhere. Their own pool has a kiddie fence around it to keep wandering sprogs out. Wifey went next door with the crotch nuggets. She says the neighbors are "like family." They have a pool too but no extra kiddie fence. Wifey is upstairs, klatching with the other Moo. She said the kids were playing downstairs. She-toadler was 19 months old. Wifey noticed it was "way too quiet" so she went downstairs and asked the boys where she-toadler was. She noticed the door to the outside was closed but cracked. When she looked outside she saw she-toadler floating in the pool. She did CPR, but the kid died the next day.

Did ya know the #1 cause of death for children is drowning? And it only takes 30 seconds for a kid to drown? Bodie said he had been to all the pediatrician appointments and this was never mentioned. So now it's the doctor's fault that your kid died?

They looked really sad and it has to be horrible for them. And her negligence caused the kid to die. I can appreciate them warning other parents similarly. But should this really be a shock? Doesn't anyone with a room-temperature IQ realize the little fuckers can be really creative in finding ways to off themselves? If you don't want to watch them 24/7, don't have one.

ETA: more descriptive language about the kiddie fence.

I'm surprised that the neighbor's pool has no fence. In most regions, a pool is considered an attractive nuisance and has to be fenced in by law.
Under the law the neighbors could be legally liable for the death by not fencing their pool.

Wifey was also a moron to bring her kids to a home where the pool wasn't fenced, and leaving him to his own devices.

Blaming the doctor is trying to find a scapegoat for their faults and neglectful parenting.

From the pictures that I saw, the Miller's house had a regular fence, and I believe the neighbors had one too. That would presumably keep neighborhood kids out and is probably code.

The Miller's house has an EXTRA kiddie fence inside that fence. It's an extra layer for someone who is inside the property already.

I wondered if the relationship between these two families will become strained. Even though these people are like family, it was her responsibility to watch her kid and be aware of the situation. If a stranger had been responsible for the kid, I'm sure that person would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

We'll soon be reading about a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the family with only one fence.

I have been a childfree non-swimmer for almost 55 years and I knew that drowning was one of the top causes of death for young children.
Why do parents have their heads up their asses about that fact ?

I don't think there is enough security around any pool that can truly prevent a kid getting in and a resulting lawsuit.

Yes. And brothers are not parents. Any moo knows that a toadler stays in the room with you as you gossip with other moos. And for super lazy moos there are toys that keep toadlers from escaping. And for wealthy moos there is always the nanny option.

You're right. Doesn't matter how much people try to keep brats out of a pool, they will find a way past everything. Kids are very attracted to the things that will hurt them the most and even child-proofing devices fail regularly (come on, my grandma would ask me to open her child-proof medicine bottle when I was six).

Parents seem to think that kids are completely brain dead and as long as they put up one obstacle, the kid will be safe. The thing is kids have nothing better to do and are fueled by childhood energy and curiosity, so even if they are fucking stupid, they'll sit there and pick, poke, push, and prod at something until they figure out how it works and proceed to get around it. It's not hard for a kid to figure out how to unlock something, how to climb over a gate, how to pull out a socket cover, how to open a bottle, or how to pull a small part off something and eat it.

I have a feeling the other kids played a part in the dead kid's death. They probably didn't want to play with her and put her outside like one would with an annoying dog, and since kids love danger, the kid probably made a beeline right for the pool, fucked around with the lock on the gate and fell in the water. Contrary to how it's portrayed in movies and television shows, drowning isn't as dramatic and noisy as people think, so I doubt anyone even heard her.

Bottom line? DON'T HAVE A POOL. Because someone's retarded kid will find it, jump in it, drown, and then your ass will be in the smasher for not taking enough measures to keep them out.

They're probably being made to feel as if they were. But although it doesn't say how old they were, unless there was a huge age gap, those kids were not old enough to have responsibility for a toddler. The fault is entirely on the moo.

Just to clarify, there was no kiddie gate and no lock. She walked from where the kids were playing inside and accessed the pool outside. All the more reason why an adult should have been keeping an eye on the kids, all of them.

Children have always had the same level of energy and curiosity--it's the human condition. And I know when I was a kid, kids drowned. But today it's acceptable to let kids run wild and do whatever the Hell they want. In addition to making them brats, they don't learn any impulse control and that makes them more likely to off themselves, like the brat who was at the revolving restaurant and wedged his head between a table and the floor. WTH was the kid even doing on the floor during dinner.

I grew up with a CONSTANT LITANY of these old chestnuts.

Don't touch!
Look with your eyes, not with your hands!
Keep your hands to yourself!
Look where you are going!
Use your inside voice!
What's the magic word? (Please)

And especially because my mom couldn't stand sticky dirty snotty little brats:

WASH YOUR HANDS!
USE A TISSUE!*

*Because there's nothing worse than when kids (or adults) have snotty noses or they sniff their damn snot back in their nose. two faces puking two faces puking two faces puking two faces puking two faces puking two faces puking

Yes the interview was all about that. Guthrie was kissing ass and talking about the opportunity to create life during this tragedy or some other bullshit. Gag me.

It's here if you can stand it.

He has two other baby mommas and he's always in and out of court with them. He looks completely pissed off during the whole interview. I wonder if his marriage is going to last. He could dump her and sue for custody.
Re: Bode Miller gets gofundme

Yuck. The comments are totally barf-worthy, too. A lot of these morons say that everyone who has a pool should have a gate with a lock on it. Maybe they should consider the fact that if it isn't a pool they're drowning in, they're choking themselves on hoodie cords, climbing dressers that aren't anchored down, etc. etc. It's the parent's responsibility to watch their child. Always. There is NO excuse for this. I've been around private pools most of my life, and nobody had fucking gates around them. There was just this common knowledge that nobody would let their toadler get out of sight, and possibly drown in the damned things.

Bode Miller is/was a hippie stoner mountain dude. Interesting he chose life in a gated community with his famblee instead of living in Hawaii or Vermont or something. Perhaps they were free ranging their one year old and it didn't work out.
