The kid gets out in minus 8 degrees when everyone is apparently asleep at 4am and can't get back in. It looks like an accident, but who knows. Poor kid died a bad death.

there was plenty of time to put deadbolts on the door.
I have noticed that toadlers seem to be able to work very hard at offing themselves.

CERTIFIED HOSEHEAD!!!

people (especially women) do not give ONE DAMN about what they inflict on children and I defy anyone to prove me wrong

Dysfunctional relationships almost always have a child. The more dysfunctional, the more children.

The selfish wants of adults outweigh the needs of the child.

Some mistakes cannot be fixed, but some mistakes can be 'fixed'.

People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one. Leo J. Burke

Adoption agencies have strict criteria (usually). Breeders, whose combined IQ's would barely hit triple digits, have none.

The strange thing about this story is that the kid ran out into the black cold night with a door that was easy to open in - 8F weather.

Kids will escape buildings/houses in the day in normal weather, their parents in malls, airports where the whole world looks interesting, but their instincts tell them to be afraid of the dark..ie with their monsters under the bed and in closets. What kid runs into the night themselves when it is still black dark out, quiet and with a blast of freezing air to the face the moment the door opens, running into that giggling? A kid that age would be terrifed that a boogie man would be on the side of the building waiting to jump.

Yet the commenters saw it as a poor moo who looked away for a second and everyone that was suspicious was callled an a-hole.

It is very possible that the front of the house was well lit and next to a street light.

It's a reverse Lil Sizzler.

Lil Popsicle?

Wasn't able to get back in...does that mean the kid actually shut the door behind itself? Toddlers don't bother with that, do they?
