Oh, fuck, no! (Childcare co-working spaces)

If you work remotely or freelance, you might consider a co-working space. But be careful what space you choose, because there are now co-working spaces with childcare. You really, really don't want to wind up in one of these spaces:

The tagline of this article is "Fed up with escalating childcare costs and inflexible nurseries? A new breed of workplaces can help." The price is £14 per hour per child, with space for 18 children. Assuming a full nursery and an 8-hour day, they are getting a maximum of £2016 a day. I wonder how that is going to pay for the childcare space, the lactation room, the insurance, and - most importantly - the childcare employees who are going to be available flexible hours, for a flexible number of children. I'm guessing there's a certain underclass of worker here who isn't able to flit around between co-working spaces all over the world...

Still, for an individual breeder, £2240 per month is not cheap.

Oh, cry me a river about your diminished disposable income. With a tax-free childcare scheme and child tax credits, it's the CF people who are subsidizing breeders, without any say in how those children are raised or even if they should exist in the first place.

Funny how they "we're all in this together" mentality always falls short once they have collected their tax incentives. And they use a disproportionate amount of services. All of the sudden, they're the only one being thrown life preservers while the rest of the taxpayers foot the bill or are drowning. The minute they get any benefit it just whets their appetite for more.
