Reddit childfree is now beyond stupid

I may have phrased something wrong. Under deliberate impregnation. I stated that sometimes women by abusers so hubby will abuse the child instead of them. 'They use the child as a punching bag instead of mommy.' How that is advocating violence I have no clue. I told them bye.

Reddit CF seems to be about telling people they are CF in order to be edgy. Some people on there are truly CF but most are fencesitters even though there is a reddit/fencesitter sub.

Even if she intentionally had six kids with the guy, she is a victim who is “trapped” with him because of the children (that she chose to have).

So we shouldn't point out that by keeping the kids in that kind of household, she's their abuser now, too?

I was trying to make the point that women deliberately have a child in the hopes it will deflect the abuse from mommy onto the child. It was probably off topic, but I have heard the point made before elsewhere.

If I had said 'Susan Smith killed her children in order to be with the boyfriend' it would have resulted in a ban because it advocated violence against children. Which was the reason given me, advocating violence against children. whoever the dummo moderator is, pasted my comment. I looked at it and there was nothing there advocating violence against children. I was told if I expressed remorse and sorrow they might reconsider, so I told them to stuff it.

I'm sorry and feel remorseful that women sometimes choose to have children with abusive men so that the men will abuse the children instead of the woman.

said what I've been saying here... the equivalent is not being allowed to mention susan smith driving her kids into a lake to make a point and being told it advocates violence against kids.

a lot of reddit moderators are made up of college mush brains anyway. I have found a lot of these kawledge 'edicated' bodies tend to be as arrogantly wedded to their points of view as they accuse the older generation of being. but they are incapable of figuring that out.

It isn't possible to reason with those people on Reddit. Suspect many are still in their teens.

Perhaps they're getting their panties in a wad over something significant, such as personal pronouns or whether or not whatever is sustainably harvested. Perhaps the vegan argument again. Real life and death stuff.

Love to see them rewrite every noun in every language which is currently either masculine or feminine to be "gender neutral."

I think some of the hyper vigilance may be from when they got the media spotlight after that guy killed his kids and was found to have been spending time on the cf subreddit. I suppose there are some who are also worried about violating Reddit's ToS but given how ineffectively the white supremacists have been removed, and the zero attempts at dealing with misogyny, I don't think Reddit is inclined to make a fuss unless there's a public outcry. (And this is one of the benefits of having our own site: being hosted on a company's platform will always stiffle speech, often far more than direct censorship because people will silence themselves and their peers.)

As for the rest, it's just the usual: give people a little bit of power and they turn into mini dictators.

Reddit used to skew toward mid-20s, now I suspect the average age is closer to 15. I don't like children when they're 5, and I don't like them any better when they're 15.

This post is not from childfree Reddit obviously, but it's a good indicator of the room-temperature IQs that generally on reddit, of which CF Reddit is a subset.

And yes, stupid people are breeding and they seem pretty proud of it.

What I find amusing is how people on Reddit complain about how the childfree subreddit is a toxic circlejerk, even though they are far more mild than we are, yet go on to express opinions that wouldn't be out of place on a childfree board. Someone might post about refusing to give up their seat on a plane to a breeder who demanded it, and everyone will be talking about parental entitlement. Someone complains about a noisy baby in the neighboring apartment, and most will be supportive of the person asking for some noise abatement attempts. And someone will talk about breeding because of a terminal illness, and people will say they're an asshole for (1) potentially passing on the disease, and (2) leaving a young child without a father. (Original post is removed as usually happens once people don't get told they are perfectly in the right, but because that happens often the bot has preserved the content in the thread.)

It's like Reddit has been conditioned to hate the word childfree when they actually support many of the views we share here, sort of like the red parts of America hate the word socialism but in opinion polls routinely support the kind of wealth distribution found in Europe, show support for other mildly socialist policies, and think it's fair that they get federal aid from the blue states. Or like when you hear of a biologist explaining adaptation to a creationist and they think it sounds interesting until they learn it is part of the theory of evolution. Hating words without understanding concepts is the hallmark of a person too stupid to realize they are being manipulated, and sadly this is exceedingly widespread.
