Yeah, truly "closed" adoptions are nearly a thing of the past unless you adopt from a foreign country. I looked into it and was shocked. I certainly wouldn't want my kid tracking me down if I had placed them for adoption. It's just inviting heartache & disappointment for the adoptees and major privacy violations for the bioparents IMO. Adoption is already a tough enough decision for birth parents to make; this won't help.
