I wonder if the optimism stuff is due to the fact that most of these people are parents and do not want to face the reality of the world that they brought kids into keeping the guilty nasty feeling at bay.

The one that's killing me is the politicians bleating over how school closing is a big deal because that's where kids are being fed. Like we can't close schools because the schools are literally where the kids eat.

Judging by what I'm seeing on social media, the trend now is for breeders to tell everyone who is stocking up to leave food and wipes for the people with children because they need it more. Yeah no, with this kind of mass hysteria, it's every man for himself and no one is going to let Moos step over them. Desperate nutcases will gladly steal toilet paper out of a breeder's cart because everyone thinks they need everything more than everyone else right now.
Good lord the virus isn't even in my county and I made the mistake of going to the store for a couple non-essential things and shelves are picked clean. I could hardly move in there and I only needed five fucking things for dinner Sunday. Honestly, I guarantee you anything every single paranoid asshole leaving with 50 pounds of chicken has enough food in their pantry to eat for at least a month, if not longer. I could easily survive on all the crap I have in my pantry and that's with all the frivolous baking I do. Sure it might be things like soup, rice, pasta, tuna and other staples, but I'd live.
I'm grinning like an idiot thinking about how miserable breeders are gonna be having to actually interact with their brats for two weeks and have to feed them too. Poor babies, they just got done dealing with the snowflakes for two straight weeks back in December and now they gotta do it again and then AGAIN in four more months when that horrible thing called summer break happens!

And if you don't like the way your boss or our politicians are handling this, make mandatory paid sick leave, vacation time, universal healthcare & other basic safety nets a priority come voting season. (Aiight, stepping off my podium now lol. My social media is full to the brim with idiots).

All of a sudden, socialism sounds great, amirite? Without wishing ill on individuals, I hope this hurts bad enough that people will exercise their brains come November.

Boo-fucking-hoo, breeders. But the famblees will be getting all the help. Screw you if you're CF or CL, especially if you're single!

This article basically says it's fine to get pregnant during the pandemic, even though it admits medical care might be scarce. Breeders should be flat out discouraged from breeding more now. And any time in the future.

There seems to be nothing whatsoever that can cause breeders to think (a) there are too damn many people, and (b) maybe the world isn't all that great and people will suffer from being brought into existence. I will never understand how they think.

The article is appalling--let's keep shoveling pablum and sunshine to the masses, right? Because experience shows Breeders will swallow or buy anything. I wouldn't expect anything less from Good Housekeeping and a "reproductive psychologist."

As an aside, I have the sneaking suspicion that this reddit, breakingmom, has some sort of filter that automatically bans members of the childfree forums. I tried posting a neutral advice post and was prevented from doing so. I guess some CF do go there and mock them. Technically, we shouldn't do that, we don't like it when they troll the cf forums. I have so far not seen much by way of parunt crap at the cf forums there.

It could be. I know they explicitly say Moos only, even though I think there are Duh posters (and the r/breakingdad sub is private, which is telling). Oh, and mommies are allowed to infiltrate the CF sub, as far as I know. Because fairness - breeders are allowed everywhere, but keep those freetards out of their clubhouse!

As far as the nursing home, not everyone exposed to a virus will contract it. Virology is a fascinating science. I worked in a doctor's office during a flu epidemic and never got sick. I've never had a cold sore, food poisoning, or herpes.
