It looks pretty complicated. Maybe someone else knows the deal, but it appears an admin on Reddit is a public figure whose father was convicted for child porn and her husband had a dungeon to torture children? And she was moderating some forums where people copy pictures of children from FB and other places with sexual overtones? ***

Short Version:
Reddit hired as a moderator and employee, a former trans volunteer who was a UK political figure whose husband and father committed very very serious child sexual abuse. Reddit started creating unusual protections for this specific employee weeks before anyone knew about her employment She hired her father as part of her political team immediately after his arrest. She is alleged to be part of the coverup of the child abuses.

Redditers started complaining and for weeks, Reddit doubled down and protected the new employee and threatened all who complained.
This woman started getting rid of many many woman-centered forums for no real reasons
Redditers started taking their groups private in protest until the pressure was too much and finally Reddit fired the employee.
Reddit has still not fully repaired or corrected the damage with this whole incident.

I am in no way suggesting any contact between this forum and Reddit.
I am answering the question above as basically as I can.

Seems as though Aimee Knight was born a male and became transfemale. I had a thought that she was into shutting down cis-women's forums over the trans-woman thing for political reasons. Weird stuff

Shutting down the women's forums appears to be part of a larger agenda within the trans community. "Trans" men playing on women's sports teams, especially in high schools and colleges, are destroying those sports for cis-women. The agenda seems to be, trans-women good, cis-women bad, so let's wipe out the cis-women spaces.

That's horrifying. It echoes the trend starting years ago of destroying men-only activities, which was done (Virginia Military Institute, Boy Scouts, etc.). Now we see the next phase.

What baffles me is the biological females who buy into this bullshit hook, line and sinker. There is even a wrestling promotion with a huge one in the WOMENS' division.

I've been told often enough I'm not a real woman because of my refusal to have children. I don't think anyone should have the job of gatekeeping gender. I do find it ridiculous if a person claims gender dysphoria but then proceeds to wallow in the most sex-specific aspects of their biological sex (e.g., pregnant trans men), but there are lots of ridiculous people in this world and they're doing less harm than the classic anti-gay politician who spends a lot of money on male prostitutes while voting against his own activities.

If a person says she is a woman, it doesn't affect me in any way. There is nothing exclusive about a category that contains roughly 50% of the world's population, and which includes both me and my antithesis, the forced-birther Jesus freak with 20 kids. I have a lot more in common with the average trans woman than with the average forced-birther. The only time I think someone's biological sex is anyone's business is (a) medical care provider, and (b) physical intimacy.

I agree with this. At this point I don't agree with letting trans into competitive/professional sports (at Olympic level, etc.) because there are inherent advantages to doing this and some may be motivated to become trans in order to win. Other than that, they're people.

A few years ago there was this halo around being gay. Lots of people would assume gay = cool. No, there are terrific people and assholes. Some also happen to be are gay, straight, whatever age, whatever race, trans, etc.

freya, I remember reading a book about a medical examiner and some of the cases that came through his way. one of the statements he made was when they had a murdered male, and whatever method had been used to cause his death was done to excess, he knew they were almost always looking for a homosexual perp. like if they used a bat, the victim would have been struck 30 times or so. the victim died around blow #5, but the beating did not stop.

There was a case a while back where a guy in the navy got involved with a transvestite. The man really looked like a woman and when their clothes were removed the navy guy discovered that the girl had a male member.

The guy went insane over it and stabbed the person 119 times. I was thinking that maybe running out the door would be a better option, but what a reaction to realizing he was attracted to someone who turned out to be a man.

It may not affect you, but it affects female athletes, and scholarships for women and girls. I'm sick and tired of hearing that I have to cater to a tiny, deranged minority. It's now forbidden to refer to pregnant women as women, and breast feeding is now chestfeeding. Lesbians are told they're 'transphobic' because they don't want to suck a 'girldick'.

There's an article on yahoo news about a woman who murdered men and fed them to pigs accompanied by a picture of a giant hulking MAN. And then there's the issue of people having their children castrated and fed drugs because the child didn't conform to the 'approprate' gender stereotype, and anyone who opposes this is called a bigot.
