Another moo begins to question the herd

Moo is realizing that the modern imperative to be up your kid's ass all day long is bullshit and that there are other options for women besides breeding. At least, I think that's what it says. It was so long I gave up trying to read it.

It appears to be the same strum and drang about how haaaaaaaaaaaaaaard it is to be a mother with the natural conclusion that society needs to give more to mothers.

‘Mothers are trying too hard, and society is not trying nearly hard enough.’

I'm getting so tired of this shit. Our society is extremely pronatalist now and the U.S. Government is throwing money at people to have kids. There are endless social programs to support people who cannot afford them. Yet, it appears there is a large contingent that will not be satisfied until the Gubmint and employers make the decision to have a kid sacrifice-free and economically free to parents. (At at a cost to everyone else.)

In a social media-scrutinised, global-competitive world, every aspect of children’s lives must be optimised. Domestic life has become Instagram-filtered, privatised, and atomised.

Does anyone over the age of 16 believe social media is authentic? Nobody is going to die by not being on the web or having an instagram account.

Most mothers work part time, where pay is lower and prospects for promotion are reduced by more than half.

People who work less than full time should not make the same as full time workers. It's simple arithmetic. Arithmetic also applies to time. If you are not at a job full time, why should you get a promotion? A business crisis or rush does not always happen between 0900 and 1500.

Why should a manager apologize for promoting someone who is there full time and who puts in the hours? Note: I'm not even saying Moos WHO WORK FULL TIME should not be promoted, if they can work the hours.

The law of the land used to be "equal pay for equal work," i.e. a merit based system.

Now all these idiots want to venture down the slippery slope and to dismantle merit based compensation. They want equal pay for unequal work. I believe it's called socialism. I'm not against flexible hours and part time jobs, but how about making them available to people who want them, not just Moos?

It's all very tiring.

Oh, is that all it was? I just scanned through it because it was so gratuitously long. Clearly I took home the wrong message. I guess I projected my hopeful thinking on typical pronatalist drivel.

The part about the old advice to leave children ALONE totally threw me!

That reminds me, in the now taboo TED talk given by Elizabeth Holmes, she tells a story about providing a cheap blood test to a pregnant woman because the piggo was too poor to pay for regular ones. So how's piggo going to pay for a brat? She's not, WE are!

She does make some decent points about the cult of motherhood and the pressure to Do Everything Perfectly, and how this is not how parenthood always was, farther down in the article.

It's just that the conclusion is always tiresome. She lays it all out, how stressful Moohood is. So how about maybe having fewer children or (GASP) none at all? Recognizing it's not for everyone and choosing to support those who don't? Making the CF lifestyle stigma free? Or if you still decide to do it, how about choosing a supportive spouse and being financially secure prior to having children? How about recognizing there are TRADEOFFS to any chosen lifestyle, especially parunthood?

Instead it's always:

OMG WTF BBQ LACK OF SUPPORT FOR MOTHERS IS SOCIETY'S PROBLEM. GIVE US MONEY AND ASS KISSING IMMEDIATELY!

cf fork out enough money to support placenta brained moo sows. I do not owe you or your goddam little bastard anything more than what is being leeched away already. And frankly, these stupid jerky breeders have only themselves and their moo competition to blame. Why are there all these stupid grade to grade graduation shit. This was started by deficient mushbrain moos, everyone has to try and rush in and do the same thing, excel, creating yet another treadmill for them to run faster and faster on with no exit.
all these sports these women run themselves ragged over, shuffling kids from one sport to another, faster faster, more and more... it is all so they can stroke their egos, swaying their sagging asses around like they deserve to be put on a pedestal and honored for all the mawmbie crap they do. ego ego ego.
Like Alice, they have to run as fast as they can just to stay in the same place (the same) as other cows. But by so doing, they force everyone to run as fast as they do. Dropping out just does not appear to be an option as they'll lose precious moo status

CERTIFIED HOSEHEAD!!!

people (especially women) do not give ONE DAMN about what they inflict on children and I defy anyone to prove me wrong

Dysfunctional relationships almost always have a child. The more dysfunctional, the more children.

The selfish wants of adults outweigh the needs of the child.

Some mistakes cannot be fixed, but some mistakes can be 'fixed'.

People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one. Leo J. Burke

Adoption agencies have strict criteria (usually). Breeders, whose combined IQ's would barely hit triple digits, have none.
