It is much, much easier to control a person who breeds than one who doesn't. Bizzy, tired and distracted people are a much better audience for advertising to hypnotize, because the heavy lifting is already done. The vast majority of addicts are parunts which I don't think is a coincidence as they are looking for an escape. And constantly distracted people are prone to errors, such as accidentally breeding again without it being intentional.
A person who breeds is forced to live within strict parameters or else. Society and the government back this up. There is also the current worship of brats in our pronatalism society. Hence the shaming of keeping an unwanted brat which means the vast majority soldier on being parunts despite being miserable. And make no mistake about it, parunts could receive two years off with regular pay to be with their baybees and free daycare until the brats hit four and they'd still be miserable and would make additional demands of what they think should be "free",
courtesy of the tax payers.
People who breed are natural consumers and the poor who breed are given sustenance by the government which favors companies that has a guaranteed baseline of customers and stock price. There is no way anyone in the government (likely any government) is going to mess with this machine even the truth is staring them in the face, despite their occasional veil of lip service they are the worst example of green washing. Any candidate who talks about caring for the environment and also wants to provide any benefits/incentives for breeding is a bona fide green washer and shouldn't be taken seriously at any level because of the inherent contradiction in their argument. Caution should be exercised around this candidate as they will yak it up while picking your pocket. They either lack the self-awareness to see the contradiction in their environment, or worse, they think most others are too unobservant to notice the contradiction.
To a certain extent it is prey (breeders) versus predators (rich people profiting off breeders) but it isn't an exact science since the childfree would also be considered predators to the extent that they chose to not breed. There are also predators that have relatively little power and influence and predators that hide behind the behavior of prey in order to gain more power collectively from prey (think politicians who have brats). Also consider a celebrity who may have brats to be more "relatable"
gain more followers and make more money to their followers and willingly (?) go from predator to prey yet at the same time they still have more money and power at their disposal than most.
Despite the technology of current day society one day it will be reflected upon as a dark age for this and many other reasons (think
health sick care, the fact that baybees are born in the same buildings as mostly unhealthy people, prisons/nursing homes with no outlet that keep people contained in a small space, schools that force students to be in the same room and learn the same concepts based mostly on their age, etc.)
