Saw this thread where a woman had a kid with a guy who votes Rethuglican and who never saw abortion as anything serious until she pounded it into his head especially about etopic pregnancies and the future of their daughter. They have a seven year old daughter and the mother is asking him what they will do if the kid gets knocked up at 13 or something and there is a federal ban on abortion. He says they will pay to go wherever they need to in the world to take care of it.
So she told him he had better or she will divorce his ass.
A few people asked how she could get with such a morally repugnant a-hole as he is the usual forced birther, abortion bans are fine until it affects THEM.
Some of them see being able to vote an anti-choice politician as social status, they can always afford to over-ride it for themselves or "their own"

A dude was there saying he was a "girl dad" and all into feminism, but was one of those male feminists who suddenly give a crap about women only due to having a daughter. A few pointed out the self centerness of that, something is only an issue when it affects their own.

She maybe a Dem who married the $$$'ed republican and is freaking out now as the policies that are now affecting her personally.

From the title, I thought it was going to be about the conservative parents who got thrown out of a statehouse meeting after a school shooting...apparently they want school shootings to end now that it's their kids who've been shot. And here the post is about a different set of hypocrites.
