Sounds like the Moo is at the end of her rope, and there is no telling if therapy, in-patient care or medications will help her cope with the fact that she feels nothing toward her child. Because while she says she wanted to just roast the kid in a hot car because it wouldn't shut its face hole, I don't think that's the only reason for what she said.

I wonder why she did a 180 and went from never wanting kids to suddenly wanting them too.

In any case, I hope her husband and her family take this seriously because she just came out and admitted she is so fucking sick of her kid that she wants to neglect it to death. Maybe it's not as bad as her saying she wanted to actually kill it with her own hands, but she is admitting she wants to leave it in a dangerous situation and let nature take its course, probably so the kid will die and she won't feel the same amount of guilt as if she offed him herself.

And according to the author, there are limited childcare options because Moo absolutely does not want a stranger to come into the house to help watch the kid. She also won't send him to daycare. Not sure if this is a money thing or what, but if she has issues being in her own kid's presence, you'd think she'd be thrilled to get it the fuck away from her by means of daycare or a sitter. Maybe she is planning on abusing the kid and doesn't want a sitter or a daycare employee to see signs of abuse?

This is the world's biggest red flag and if it's not taken seriously, Duh is going to be planning a funeral and buying a tiny casket soon. Because when it comes to shit like this, people are real good at just ignoring it and saying it's not a big deal, and then when Moo goes nuts and murders her kid, everyone will say they "never saw it coming."

I think this woman the op was talking about is just another person convinced that not wanting kids is weird and immoral and especially fell for the "you'll love it when it gets here" crap and found out the hard way that was a absolutely lie for many

Sounds like Stockholm syndrome, which I think is what parenthood pretty much is. Because how else can people look at the tiny, screaming, life-disrupting, selfish assholes they created and claim to love them? They "love" them because they have no way to escape them. Maybe the love will become genuine as the kids get older and become more tolerable, but for at least the first few years of a child's life? 100% Stockholm syndrome.

I mean yes, it's probably easier to be friends with your kid once they are adults and are more independent and less of a burden on you. But until they reach an older age where they can possibly be more relatable, they are godawful company. But you have to gaslight yourself into liking them so you don't kill them or abandon them.
