Vance is a Catholic. Vance in his zeal to appeal to the prejudices of Republican voters, forgets that Jesus Christ did not have biological children, nor did He in His humanity try.
This allience of the Republican Party and a subgroup of Christianity just creates a distorted Christianity that is powered by politics and not by Christ. People like Vance are so obsessed with procreation that it leads me to think that he feels 'being Christian Catholic' and 'being moral' means one must be having or having had children.

This guy gives me the major creeps. I was raised Catholic (no longer practicing) but I never met any that had extremist views like this where it came to childfree people. Sure, people would try to convince me on occasion that having 'em would make my life complete or some such crap, but I've never been called "sociopathic" or anything like that.
I think it's called projection. He's probably a sociopath and he's trying to vilify a group of people because they go against his party line.

The amount of recent vitriol against childfree women is insane. And it's always against women and rarely men. They really don't like us having choices in how we live, who we have relationships with, and choosing to not put our bodies through pregnasty and childbirth.
I was raised Catholic too, and the most I got from church people was pity looks, because as a woman I had 2 jobs, no man and no kids. I was easily able to shut that down.

one thing a young christian pointed out to me that god does seem to side with common sense.. 'what man who wants to build a tower first sits down and calculates if he can afford it.. if he runs out of money half way through and becomes a laughing stock..or has an army of 10 thousand and faced with an army of 100 thousand.. who decides to come to terms'.. the rules have changed.. and I reallydon't think god is going to be impressed with breeders for breeding sake..

I'd love to hear the logic on how all that is wrong with the nation is the fault of the unchilded female citizens and not the men who make all the laws. But yes no, please explain to me how I am personally responsible for making the whole country miserable by not creating an unnecessary human being. Do I get a merit badge for single-handedly destroying the country? Please tell me I do because that sounds like it could go on my resume.

this is for you..and anyone else.. this reminded me of a discussion between a couple of early morning dj's on a local station.. out in ohio long ago.. and this occurred in the vicinity of findlay, OH.. or thereabouts...
a female officer out on patrol was dispatched to a residence with the message 'man not breathing'. when she got there, she was met by a man who turned out to be the subjects son. he had come downstairs and found dad lying face down on the couch and not breathing.
she goes in, checks him. no pulse, no respiration. her initial reaction is DOA but she has to try. She puts him on the floor and tries CPR. She notes a hole in the sofa and some burn marks in his genitalia area but is more concerned with the CPR at the moment. The ambulance arrives and at some point he is prounounced.
However, the police or someone wants another look at the couch. (this is being narrated by the two dj's with comments and discussions and theorizing .. ). They check under the hole. There was a sander. That was how this guy was getting his 'jollies'. I guess enough juice and he shorted something out. It sought out the closes ground which, as you guessed it, was the offending member. He got electrocuted..
What got me was after this denouma, the dj's started a lengthy debate on whether it was a belt or orbital sander, what kind of paper was used and as much related trivia they could think of. I'm getting dressed listening to this. they went on to talk about something equally bizarre but I don't remember what it was. I do think they ended up getting in trouble for some of the subject matter they used. but.. 'orbital vs belt?? '.. hahhhahaha

I am really sick of these deranged men and their handmaidens who want to make the rest of us live out their pre-women's rights fantasies. I don't understand how anyone who would have been a second class citizen or worse in the 1850s (people of color, women, LGBTQ+) can support their agenda.
I'm glad they are saying this shit out in public rather than pretending that this isn't their agenda. With a huge proportion of the population expected to be childfree in the near future, I hope that young people are listening to what's being said. Even the misogynistic fuckboi types ought to pay attention to what their life will be like when contraception and abortion are gone. Not going to be a lot of fun when you have to "do the right thing" and marry the first woman you knock up.

I'm so concerned about what's happening in the US right now. I'm just ragey about the women who passed away because they were denied basic medical care because the doctors have basically been ordered by law to not perform routine procedures necessary to save their lives.
Just wait 'til the supporters of this barbaric law have a family member or they themselves require this kind of care to save their lives. Could be a sister, daughter, friend, etc. How will they feel about it then?
As for childfree people being the problem? Vance can piss up a rope and play with the steam for all I care about what he says about us. He's looking for a scapegoat to pin all of society's ills on and it just happens to be us "childless crazy cat ladies".

I think they hate us because they overwhelmingly see women as inferior and they know what a shit show having kids is. So it galls them to no end that a woman is able to skip this bullshit. It might upset them a bit that a man can do this, but women doing it really gets in their crawl.
