Sperm And Egg Omlettes Gone Wrong

There is a sub called. /r/donorconceived It is a shitshow of people that were conceived through anonymous sperm and/or egg donors, complaining that their donors don't want anything much to do with them. These people are so messed up that they think the donor's family is their own.

If anybody is thinking of selling their eggs or jizzing in a cup for extra $$$, reading this sub is the best reason not to. Imagine, you wank off for 5 minutes for extra pocket money, and 18 years later a stranger shows up at your door claiming to be your child.

And then they get all bent out of shape when their literal sperm or egg donor blocks them from their life. What were they expecting, a warm welcome and a cut on the family inheritance?

WTF, I thought that when sperm and eggs were donated, the donors were kept anonymous for the exact reason of preventing any offspring created from their donations from trying to wedge themselves into the donors' lives? Or is that not how it works?

If someone wanted to be an active part of your life as far as a parental role, then they would have been involved from the start. Just because someone donated their DNA to make you does NOT mean they want to know you.

Not to mention how it could fuck up the donors' lives when a child created from donated sperm/eggs starts PMing the donors online. I imagine it could cause some serious issues in their current relationships/families when a mystery kid that got conceived 20 years ago from their donation comes knocking and wanting to be part of the family.

And how the fuck does that make the parents who actually raised the child feel? I imagine it's like when people adopt a kid and then the kid decides to go on a crusade to find their "real" parents. Because, you know, fuck the people who raised you and cared for you - you'd rather go try to force yourself into the life of the person who didn't want you in the first place just because they share your DNA.

Haha, I'm in the middle of watching a total crappy movie called "Inconceivable" where the surrogate is some whacked out killer and the wannamoo just found out that the surrogate is also the egg donor. The womb for rent is living in the couple's guest house.

It's so bad it's almost funny. I'm almost at the end but usually with these kinds of movies I have to take a few breaks in between for fear of too many brain cells dying off. Think rich wine moms with first-world problems.

I just took a glance at that sub, and...wow. Top posts are all "donor blocked me, should I keep contacting?" Wtf. I gueeeeessss I kind of get wanting information, like medical history or even just satisfying curiosity about where you came from, but if it was supposed to be anonymous, you'd think more of these idiots would realize their donors don't want to hear from them. If they wanted to be involved in their lives, they would be. The absolute audacity to get blocked and instantly think, "oh, should I just keep contacting them? Should I reach out to members of their family?" is just astonishing. Take the fucking hint already. And the fact that it's not just one person, but a whole slew of them who think they have some right to inject themselves into a stranger's life...fucking wild.

From the other side of things, hey, you donated genetic material! Don't be shocked when a stranger shows up on your doorstep demanding to be let in. It's not like you couldn't have seen it coming.

Not anymore. Apparently, the UK passed laws that now open up all information on sperm/egg donation. People born from these omlettes are also using 23&Me to see if they can find DNA matches, then trying to force themselves into donors' lives.

My sister did a DNA test and it went online. I was livid, because I know that we'd have unknown relatives coming out of the woodwork, hoping for $$$$. Part of the family went to Ohio and still has the name (FB is a good tool) so I'm going to hope that these tRumptards, white trash people don't look for us.

These people seem to think they are owed answers, conversations and relationships and will not accept "no" for an answer. If I reached out to ANYONE regardless of their relation to me and they blocked me, I would take that as a big fat reg flag that they do not want to speak to me and would move on. The people in that sub seem to take it as a challenge if they get blocked. That sounds like a really good way to wind up with a restraining order against them.

I have a group of trashy Trumpards on my mother's side who I basically don't know. Never saw them for decades.

My mother died and I sold the house and five acres it was sitting on and some of them show up saying they "need a place to stay" I knew it was a game to squat in the house and then legally take it, one of them using grandkids to do it . They insisted we were "family"
Only family I hadn't seen in at least 30 years.

Anyway what is it with these donors who think that laws are a thing that never change. People will donate and if someone says that maybe it is not the best idea they will say oh "there are laws against them coming after me" Those laws can be completely changed down the road, all for trading sperm for text book $$$ in college.

Someone on there justified pushing for contact by saying “they lost that right when the law changed and realized it’s immoral.” So they don’t see it as harassment, they see it as the law being on their side that their genetic relative should be forced to have a relationship with them.

A few donors were polite enough to talk to their omlette. Other omelettes were blocked. Nobody is owed, or owes a relationship to another person that they don't know. These are a helluva bunch of entitled people.

I'd seek out biofamily for medical info as I've several medical problems that are genetic.

A long time ago I read a story of a guy in his 30's desperate to meet his bio mom. His friend told him to leave it alone , but he continuted. He met her and his five other siblings and half siblings and they were peices of work. Bio moo instructed her adult kids to borrow $$$ from him, ask for favors and they were hard to get rid of. He made good $$$ and they were into him for that. He regretted chasing it all.

how many conditions can be determined by tests?? and having a stranger contact you 'what genetic disorder do you have??' ..not sure how well that would go over.

Too many people think the reason behind their adoption is some romantic tragedy of a woman forced to give up her beloved baby or something and believe they are going to get some beautiful reunion. Instead, they find out their bio mom was 12 when she gave birth and they have the same father. Or the bio parents didn't want kids but were forced to go through with the pregnancy for one reason or another and are none too pleased to see the child on their doorstep.

crazy, there are forms that are signed.. and I think some of them are release forms so if another medical agency requests information they can be shared.. ...
