I am an only child myself, but I have personally never ONCE known siblings who weren't at one another's throats when they were growing up. Sometimes they can be friends in adulthood, but when they're still kids? They hated each other's guts. Never once saw an exception to this. I don't think I ever saw any instances of them legitimately trying to kill each other, but I did see constant fighting, physical injuries, making one another cry because they can, tattling to Mom and Dad because they liked seeing their sibling get into trouble, that sort of thing.
Kids often have no empathy because they only care about themselves. Ideally they learn empathy and compassion if their parents aren't worthless, but most parents are incompetent and can't be arsed to do their jobs. So a lot of kids wind up being horrible monsters and treat their peers terribly. Their parents will get them diagnosed with autism because it's easier than admitting their inability to raise another person.

Kids also don't really get the concept of long-term consequences either. The guy in the linked comments is a good example of this. He tried to kill his brother out of a desire to make his brother go away, not because he understood the concept of ending someone's life. His actions were very short-sighted, which is typical of kids. Sounds like his parents didn't give much of a fuck, so that didn't help matters. In fairness, the guy also said his brother is an ADHD tard, so I imagine the little fucker was much more insufferable than a non-awtarded child. He also said once his brother got on proper medication, he became more tolerable and the murder attempts stopped.

On another note, I wonder if if the guy's brother really had a genuine case of adhd or it was yet another case of lazy munchausen parents and greedy doctors shoving pills down a child's throat just to get them to stfu. (I really get the vibe the parents are lazy breeders)

The ADHD was real cuz the nonADHD kid said the ADHD kid was more tolerable on meds.
