I wonder if this means we will see a new mental disorder added to the DSM specifically for parents who are rendered mentally unwell from the lifestyle choices they made. Like post-partum depression, but maybe a name that encompasses both genders and extends beyond the months immediately following childbirth.

What would it be called? Chronic parental burnout syndrome? Post-reproductive stress disorder?

The surgeon general is the same person who tells you on the boxes of cigarettes that smoking will kill your ass. So does this mean pregnancy tests will also now come with a disclaimer?
