I remember this lady had a really old little rat terrier who was 20 years old. He was a rescue and he was about the cutest little thing I ever saw, but he had severe arthritis so he couldn't walk. She pushed him around in a baby carriage so he could get fresh air.

I thought it was a fantastic idea.

I had a little rat terrier long ago.. I lost her far too young.. she was 7 when she passed from some sort of wasting disease. she was the best dog I ever had.. far better than any fuck trophy.. the hardest I had to face when I was on the road..we had stopped at a rest area on I 80 in Utah.. it is about half way down the hill .. when you enter utah from wyoming there is a downhill about 5 miles. at the bottom, I 84 goes right to Portland, I 80 goes left to SF. But I stopped to walk bonnie.. she was not in good shape..and I knew she was dying.. someone beeped at me.. lady was in a van with about 5 little ratties ..she held one up.. I smiled through my tears.. and admired the little dogs.. walked off and cried my eyes out.. i could not save bonnie. she passed only a few weeks later.. I can't hardly even talk or write about her because the scab comes off ..and it bleeds again...

Probably because people are finally realizing that pets provide far more happiness and are far cheaper, whereas brats are horrible and insanely expensive. So now people spoil their pets like they would children, and they leave the making of children to the crazy rich people.

This is ridiculously cute, so glad the pup was able to be out and about.

It is so sweet that you brought your little pup for a road trip and a walk before she died. I'm sure she was happy while she was alive.

Definitely. A relative of mine is waiting to put her pup into daycare while her and her husband work. It is to give the pup the opportunity to spend some time socializing with other dogs and is $5 a day. There is a substantial waiting list though. In the meantime she is training the pup (young and just departing the puppy stage) to spend less time in the kennel gradually in hopes that the pup can be trusted to be out and about all day.

Unlike a human child, she still has the option to kennel or leave the pup alone during the day. And daycare for a pup is very cheap!

This is ridiculously cute, so glad the pup was able to be out and about.

I saw her one day without the carriage. When I asked her about it, she burst into tears and told me he passed away. He was her whole life and she'd spent her life savings on helping him with his arthritis. I'm just glad he got to enjoy his golden years with someone who truly loved him.

I was so sad for this lady. She was a senior and it was really heartbreaking.
