Long story short , Duh is tired of working 70 hour weeks at a construction job and asks his lazy wife to get a part time job to help ease the burden. Wife refuses , even though it's clear that duh is working himself into an early grave. Wife thinks that taking care of a brat and a few pets at home is as hard as working 70+ hours in construction.
Men who rave about wanting a Tradwife better becareful what they wish for or they could end up in a situation like this ; treated as a wallet and worked near to death by a lazy widfe.

I 34m and my wife 34f have been having difficulties when it comes to her not wanting to work. I have been working a job that was supposed to just be a temporary gig to get us on our feet. I work 70 hours a week in a construction job I’m up at 3 am and I usually don’t get home from work till after 7 PM When I get home, I usually shower eat and go straight to bed I average 5 hours of sleep every night, I have been doing this for 6 years. For the last few months, I have been suffering from extreme fatigue, anxiety, and I always seem to be sick, Over the last six years that I have been working this job, my wife has been unemployed she takes care of the house and watches my child 11 years old (from previous relationship) 3 days every other week. With the economy being the way it is and everything been so expensive. I have began trying to encourage her to get to go back to work. She is a photographer, and use to make very good money working for herself, (she still does a couple shoots a year to stay in practice but nothing substantial) she says she wants to be a stay at home wife instead. But I have told her idk how much longer I can keep this up, because it’s starting to feel like it’s killing me. She mostly ignores me when I start talking about it. I recently came to her with a list of non-negotiables I needed in my life. Which included a job that allows at least 7 hours of sleep each night. No more than 10 hour work days except on occasion, and a schedule that allows me to have a maintainable healthy workout schedule, and ample time to spend with my child while in our care. This made her very mad because that would mean she would have to work part time as well to help pay bills to which she believes she shouldn’t have to do.
She says taking care of the home/animals is just as much work as I do and that should be enough and that I am ungrateful for everything she does. AITA?
* I should have been more clear when I said she took care of the animals, we have 2 medium sized dogs
Update*** talking with my wife and she tells me life would be a lot easier if she would just leave me.

Just goes to show that alot of SAHW/SAHMOOS see their men as walking wallets instead of human beings. They just stay at home using them as a free ride and don't give a damn about the man's wellbeing.
I bet when the man drops dead from working himself to death to fund her lazy lifestyle, the wife wouldn't care because she probably gets a big payout (assuming she was smart enough to get life insurance)

people still believe the bullshit about the happy famblee myth. the guy is burnt out. however, if he dumps her ass, chances are the cunt will be made to work. maybe she could rent her twat out. sounds as if that is the only working part of her body.

This guy will be dead soon. I don't think any human can do that kind of work for too long before they burn out and just get so sick they keel over. I think he's better off without his freeloading wife. He could get a small apartment somewhere and reduce his hours substantially.
The weird thing is that I think photography would be a wonderful career to have and it probably wouldn't be all that bad. I'm sure people can make really good money doing that, especially with weddings and huge events, and if she's good at it, she could make boatloads of money. I really don't get why she wouldn't want to do it, especially if she loves her husband. Clearly she doesn't.
If I were him, I'd make sure that she wouldn't get a thin dime of what I made while I was married to her. No life insurance policy for her, anything that is mine, I'd will to someone else and purposefully leave her out of it. She's a lazy leech.

Shit like this is why I laugh when I see men (especially passport bros) bitch about how they want a tradwife that just stays at home cooking cleaning and fucking and doesn't work because its "too manly".
They better be careful what they wish for. Cuz they may get their wish and get a lazy leech for a wife that mooches off of them while they work themselves to death

I think lots of them are living in some kind of delusion where they suspect they will be able to have as many kids as they want, work 40 hours a week to support their family and have wives that do everything else for them. They can just roll out of bed and go and not give the home front a second thought. And when they come home everything will be perfect, tidy and the kids will be behaved. And their wife will be thrilled to see him and not expect him to life a finger to help out. Doesn't work that way! Reality couldn't be further from the truth!

At least she’s taking care of his 11-year-old mistake from a previous relationship, so she’s technically an unpaid nanny. But yeah, this gal can do some freelance photo retouching while she’s at home all day. Construction is full of toxic masculine types and I’m guessing he wanted to have a tradwife…until he didn’t!

in a way, if you stop and think about it, taking care of a house and a brat is just about a full time job. that is the truth of things, no matter if one likes or hates this. it is almost as if working women is a luxury of sorts.. someone did a study that it was the amount of $$$ mommy had that had a greater impact on whether the kid turned out half way decent or not. a bottom earning trailer trash moo who shuffles the kid onto whomever will watch it.. is the one that does the most damage ..

I think of being a SHAMoo as being more of a lifestyle choice than a job. With a job, you can get fired if you don't do a good one (I suppose your "boss" can file for divorce instead) and if you do well, you get rewarded with raises, promotions, etc. Also, having a job usually requires some sort of skill set, whereas being a shamoo doesn't really require any at all. There are no standards or qualifications like other jobs where you have thousands competing for the same position.
I do think it's work though, but not in the sense of being a job. Thankless, miserable, burdensome, brainless work. Kind of like when I have to go out and pick up dog poop from the back yard.
