Cheers to us, for we will never have this problem in our lives. I wonder if the house will ever be the same.
I'm sure parunts wake up every day with a different problem, just so someone might, just might, take care of them when they get old. And, maybe a sticky jam-smeared kiss here and there in the meantime.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So my 7 year old son thought it was a good idea to use his vent to pee in because he “didnt want to go to his bathroom”. First i thought he maybe wet the bed, but nope, he peed down the vent in his room, it smells horrible in here like urine. My 16 year old teenage son said that the whole house smells like pee and he is correct. I can also smell it throughout the house.

My 7 year old son literally said that he peed in the vent in his room.

And good luck getting that hot pee stench out of the house too. As far as what to do, she needs to beat her brat's ass for being such a filthy little piglet that he intentionally pissed somewhere other than the toilet. Then he needs to lose all privileges until such a time that the urine smell disappears. If any professional cleaning has to be done to remove the smell, it comes out of the gift fund for the brat's birthday and Christmas. If this bullshit continued, I would be tempted to put his ass in a kennel outside because if he's gonna act like an unhousebroken puppy, he can fucking sleep in the yard and piss on the lawn.

But this is also why I am not a parent. I would have CPS called on me so damn fast,

Kids will do the absolute dumbest shit for the absolute dumbest shit reasons. I remember one on BreakingMoo about some woman's brat that was being ignored by its Duh while Moo was upstairs, and when she came downstairs, the brat had poured a bottle of cooking oil on the kitchen floor. Her reasoning was "I wanted to do a slidey dance."

The occasional cute moment or sticky-handed hug or "I wuv yoo" will NEVER make up for all the horrible shit kids do and all the things they ruin. Parents just convince themselves the chaos is worth the Kodak moments so they don't commit murder-suicide.

Here is a list of expensive shit people's brats ruined. But it's all wooooooorth it! eye rolling smiley

the propaganda continues. makes one sick. they are alll so up in arms about the poor widdle whining jerk infertile myrtles (not sure what the dick equivalent is, ideas?? ).. and the ivf. god forbid they be denied that.. honest to god I hope we don't breed ourselves into extinction. there are many who are gung ho with this notion.. however, tbhere are good apples out there.. . and lovely things we do and create,...that our vanishing would be regrettable. I really hope not..

I don't know if that house would even be sellable. It may have to be torn down after they leave. I'm sure that the house will lose a lot of value from this. Who the fuck would want to buy a house that stinks of pee?

Once the piss soaks into the wood and wherever it leaks down, it would be really tough to get rid of it, if not impossible. It will always be there lingering, even if ever so subtly.

This behavior sounds really abnormal.

That's another good point. The house will definitely lose value if they try to sell it and they'd likely need to sell it as-is or for less than what it would normally be worth because the potential buyers will have to pay a bunch of money to remove the smell.

Why did the kid not want to use his bathroom? From the way it's worded, it sounds like the little slob has his own toilet, but he chose to go down the vent instead of in the toilet. I'm going to put my money on laziness or because he "wanted to see what would happen." If he was potty-trained, then seven years old should be old enough to know to pee in the toilet.

Got another idea. Cover his hands in ghost pepper sauce. Then when he holds his genitals to piss down the vent, it'll burn like a motherfucker. When he comes crying to Moo about the pain, tell him that the vent gets angry when people pee in it and will burn bad kids who do it. I bet he won't do it after that.

I had no idea piss could cause so much damage, wow! And he is 7, not 3. If he isn't punished this crap will continue.

Oh absolutely. It's not just the odor, but urine is also acidic and I'm sure that can damage wood and carpet pretty easily if left to soak in. I imagine since it's liquid, it could also facilitate the growth of mold, which can cause all kinds of health problems when you inhale it. The moisture could also likely warp baseboards and hardwood flooring. It carries bacteria because it's waste. It leaves stains, some of which may be permanent depending on what surface/material it has soaked into.

And of course since brats are disgusting little slobs, they will have accidents all over the house for a while. Sometimes they will have one and then hide the evidence so they don't get in trouble, like peeing in a dresser drawer or leaving pee-soaked pants under their bed to rot. I remember my dumbass ex laughing about how his two brats would piss on everything in the house like dogs, and I'm sure nothing got done to correct the behavior because both him and his broodmare are completely worthless human beings. Yeah it's real easy to yuk it up when you live in section 8 housing and it's not your personal property getting destroyed!

This on its own is yet another legitimate reason to not have kids.
I remember smelling warm and wet diapers anytime I was in the house with a baybee/toadler. Guess that "scent" it is always there at that age. Ewww.
Maybe parents get used to it and sometimes it takes years to go away because of the unchecked behavior of brats?

Wow, urine is so destructive! I've lived in places that had wood floors that were over 60 years old and not destroyed.
