Elementary school teacher married to child rapist

I started seeing a registered sex offender attending school events, so i asked the principal of he is allowed to be there. I got a lot of non answers, but was told essentially sex offenders are only allowed if they have a child at the school.

I did a little more digging and it turns out one of the teachers is married to him. This is going to potentially be my child's teacher next year. She may be a great teacher but i am uncomfortable with the thought she chose to marry a child rapist. I don't trust her morals, and don't trust her as a mandated reporter of abuse.

For some context the offense was 20 years so but it was violent and went on for 2 years against a preteen girl. An i overreacting here? I get the impression the principal wants to keep it hush hush..

EDIT for common questions: He was in his 20s at the time of the offense. They have a child together that is a student at the school. I know the full details of his offense through my employment, but it would likely be illegal to disclose to the general public, wife(teacher) knows offense as well and married him while he was on parole.

Apparently the fact that the rapist is a duh and a famblee man is proof that he's no longer a predator or a danger. Also violent rape is apparently just a indiscretion ala smoking weed or stealing a chocolate bar

I could see if the reasoning was the guy was 18 and his girlfriend was 16 as the reason for him being a sex offender because that kind of shit is not fair, but this freak raped a young girl for TWO years. This is not a small indiscretion, accident or a mistake. That shit was intentional and without remorse.

I question the sanity and motives of the dumbfuck who married and bred with someone who violated a child for two whole years. Desperation? Ignorance? Just plain didn't care? Does she not realize that there is a very good chance he will victimize their child, especially if their kid is female?

Also, aren't sex offenders who commit crimes against children usually supposed to stay a certain distance away from schools and playgrounds? How did this asshole get around that rule? Does it vary by state?

In any case, I hope this gets absolutely blasted on social media. The parents deserve to know that the school is knowingly allowing their kids to be exposed to someone who could victimize them so they can act accordingly and legally in the likely event he commits more crimes with his ready supply of victims.

Given the fact teachers are quitting in droves more than ever (and also probably fewer people are looking to become teachers), it might reach a point where the only people willing to teach the little fuckers will be child abusers. I'd wager that such people might sympathize with other abusers too and would not report abuse committed by parents.
