My husband was arrested 10 months ago for possession, distribution and production of csam (he’s guilty of possession, the nice policewoman who came told me that they arrest you on all 3 to cover all bases, she said there’s no suggestion he’s produced any, don’t know if he’s guilty of distribution as they’ve not charged him yet). I’m standing by him.
There’s the background out of the way.
Today, someone we know walked up to him and asked him in a very normal voice, “What are you doing hanging around on a street with kids living on it when you’ve been caught with what you have been caught with?”
My husband is a VERY reactive person. If he was a dog he would need a muzzle. He’s got adhd and the rejection sensitive dysphoria he experiences doesn’t want anyone to ‘get away’ with saying anything negative to him. He completely ignored her and I am VERY PROUD of him for that. Very proud.
The issue is that afterwards, he phoned me and was saying all kinds of things about her - all of them true might I add. She is a terrible mother, she is a druggie, she is lacking in intelligence - but should I be listening and encouraging him to get it all out, and let him tell me how he feels, or should I be encouraging him towards a more tempered view (she has a rubbish life, her feelings are likely those of a woman in pain from a traumatic life herself, her intellect leads her down a certain path as she is a pizzagate believer etc). I certainly don’t want to take away myself as an outlet for him, and as I said I’m immensely glad he was calm when she confronted him! And he hasn’t ever attempted to minimise his own crime or anything like that. But if this is enabling something that shouldn’t happen, I don’t want to do that either!

Knowing her type, I'd say that's what she'd do. All the while encouraging them to keep silent. Because God forbid teachers/police/cps find out what pedo hubby did. Then no more dick/money for mooQuote

Either that, or she'll just turn a blind eye to it and accuse the kids of lying.

If I found out my partner was arrested for animal cruelty, the relationship would be over. Aren't they supposed to care more about their kids than we do about our pets? And yet....
