Grandparunts want him to make peace with her due to grandbrat no matter how much he hates her to get their way

Guy told ex to leave, take the kid with her and he will pay sprog support and to never contact him again.

He tried to have a kid with her before the affair and was gung ho about it, after the affair not so much into duhhood with her.

Parents can't cheat and expect everyone to go along with it and suddenly grow up and be mature because a child enters the picture. Their partners may opt out or if they are legally responsible they will drag their feet and do the bare minimum out of spite for their spouse/SO. We've seen so many examples where kids are used as pawns for one spouse to control the other whether in marriage or a divorce. And their children become collateral damage.

Another thing great about being childfree is there is no lingering drama or any kids to be hurt as a by-product of an affair/cheating/whatever. We can make a clean break and avoid being petty even though it may be a temptation.

Parents make such a fuss over that "unconditional love" that the rest of us will never know or understand, but come a divorce or affair or disability and the "unconditional" part goes right out the window, doesn't it?
