If this sotry is real. A "childfree" girl who never wanted kids gets accidentally knocked up and births it even though abortion is an option. She has it and leaves it with the controlling duh and is now in this Jerry Spinger situation with him over the brat. The duh is using the brat for control and and she already admits she hates the kid.
Only one commenter admitted that abortion was the way to go.

This woman will have to deal with the duh for as long as he lives and the brat also when it all could've been avoided
Plus it will be really tough for her to move on and find a CF guy.

I guess this formally childfree moo didn't think about some facts, especially that a partner will tell everyone he knows that she is inpig in order to force her to keep it. Story as old as time and as common as cockroaches. Oh and that she'll be stuck with him for the next 20+ years, one way or another. And then there's that inconvenient child they created.

And clearly, if his entire family ganged up on her and guilted her out of an abortion these same people will have no issue put their noses in their business at any time and causing massive damage. And the grandmo clearly cares more about trapping the mother of her grandchild than she cares about the grandchild. She probably thinks she can break her down and eventually railroad this woman into marrying the duh.

The sad part is that it is clear her child is already aware of her mom's regret and does everything she can to not be annoying. My guess is that grandmoo and company have talked about her mom not wanting her in front of her numerous times.

As much as I don't want to delve into the "no true Scotsman" fallacy, I have to wonder how many of these "childfree but then flipped and decided to have kids" people were really CF...I suspect many were fencesitters to begin with, but wanted to claim the CF title rather than admit that they don't know what they want from their lives.

I honestly do not understand how someone who absolutely does not want kids can allow themselves to be browbeaten into keeping a pregnancy. It's not like just doing some annoying thing once and getting it over with - it's making a whole new person that will need to be supported for at least 20 years, most likely more because most young people can't afford to live on their own.

If you allow yourself to be coerced into breeding when you have access to abortion, adoption or safe havens, you are not childfree. And of course when the kid is born to people who don't want it, the kid will be the one to suffer the most, which seems to be the case here. Sounds like the kid is terrified of being abandoned and the author admits she hates the kid just for existing, and the fact that the girl never throws tantrums tells me she is probably walking on eggshells all the time because she's afraid to be bad because it might make Mommy not come back.

And of course Duh has decided that nobody needs therapy in this whole trash fire of a situation because he probably knows any therapist will say he's a toxic shit heap and for Moo to distance herself and her kid from them.

Moo should have stuck to her guns. She doesn't want to commit to the Duh because he wasn't Mr. Right. Why have a brat with someone who was just a fling?

Whether Moo stays or goes, the kid is gonna be so fucked in the head. She'll probably grow up to be the kind of woman who latches like a lamprey onto anyone who shows her a speck of decency because of abandonment issues.
