I wonder how many of these parents voted for the Orange, this being Texas, and are now horrified that the Maga types are coming for their own kids

These people think "freedom for me and not for thee." In other words, they think all of these rules are going to be imposed on everyone else except for the "right thinking people" and get upset when they are also subjected to the same rules.
