Someone asked their parents to watch the grandbrat when they were away, but the grandparents got a dog and the parent of the new brat flipped out and took the kid on the trip with them anyway. I wonder if getting the dog was a message to their kid to take care of their own stuff now and if the grandparents want a dog in their lives now that is up to them.
There are a lot of adult kids now flipping out with entitlement when grandparents are like "Nahhhhh, we will do our own thing now"
After reading the story it sounds like entitled duh coerced the grands into baby sitting. So I wonder if - considering how quickly the dog appeared and disappeared - if the dog existed at all or was a ruse to get out of babysitting. I think the dog was never there
