One way to get out of babysitting grandbrats

Someone asked their parents to watch the grandbrat when they were away, but the grandparents got a dog and the parent of the new brat flipped out and took the kid on the trip with them anyway. I wonder if getting the dog was a message to their kid to take care of their own stuff now and if the grandparents want a dog in their lives now that is up to them.

There are a lot of adult kids now flipping out with entitlement when grandparents are like "Nahhhhh, we will do our own thing now"

After reading the story it sounds like entitled duh coerced the grands into baby sitting. So I wonder if - considering how quickly the dog appeared and disappeared - if the dog existed at all or was a ruse to get out of babysitting. I think the dog was never there beating with a lol hammer

It was a dick move for the grandparents to renege on their deal. Then again, the brat is an infant at 5 mos. old.

maybe a dick move but I'm willing to bet that not all of the entitlement was being reported on. My guess is something the gonad donors said and/or did pushed them over the edge.

and I finally figured out how to make this page display correctly. called customer service and broken english. good grief. I think I'd be real careful here now..

True, we're only hearing a very small one-sided part of the story, much context is likely missing. Or they could have lied for sympathy.

One duh on the r/ was complaining about the loaf's GREAT grandparents not being involved. Um, yes dude. In general, great-grandparents are too damned old to run around after your toadler.

Unless they're just 60 years old. Some 'grandparents' are VERY young, as I've heard of a 30-year-old grandmother.

Breeders just want to run their parents and grandparents into the ground until they're so sick and exhausted that they have to be put in nursing homes. The loaves come first and the old people don't matter, so they'll have no problem with that.

No thanks! Even at my age of 56 I'm too sick and tired to look after someone's toadler, even for an afternoon. I'd be finished after less than an hour.

and has anyone thought of this. this bunch of entitled breeders EXPECTING the grandparents to act as unpaid baby sitters; just dump them on the gp's at every opportunity. If their kids grow up expecting THEM to babysit their f trophies, what is going to happen then?? I doubt I'll live long enough to see this.. as the narcissism, entitlement mentality has been slow to accelerate to the point it is now. but exponential growth, this will hit the fan in 20 years or less
