Paternity Tests

I am curious:

How many think paternity tests should be mandatory? can give reasons if you wish.

two cents ¢¢

CERTIFIED HOSEHEAD!!!

No one is more arrogant towards women, more aggressive or scornful, than the man who is anxious (insecure..my word) about his virility. Simone de Beauvoir

people (especially women) do not give ONE DAMN about what they inflict on children and I defy anyone to prove me wrong

Dysfunctional relationships almost always have a child. The more dysfunctional, the more children. The selfish wants of adults outweigh the needs of the child.

Some mistakes cannot be fixed, but some mistakes can be 'fixed'.

People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one. Leo J. Burke

Adoption agencies have strict criteria (usually). Breeders, whose combined IQ's would barely hit triple digits, have none.

Trumpers and conservative men are pushing the narrative that there need to be mandatory DNA tests for all children born in the U.S. It's also apparently a pretty popular idea with Andrew Tate and the like.

Their rationale seems to be that all women are whores and won't somebody think of the poor men.

These are usually the same assholes are arguing for small government. I asked one of them one time, okay, so how does this square with small government? And who is going to pay for it? Most often they want the government to pay for it.

I will be the first person to say that oopsing a guy is lowdown. Hiding paternity from a guy is also lowdown. I think it's disgusting when guys find out they have raised a kid that's not theirs. HOWEVER, I do think if a guy has raised a child for an extended period of time as his own, it's also a dirtbag move to run out on the kid just because DNA. Be mad at the mother, but it's not the kid's fault the mother is a lying whore and if you've raised the kid, you are the dad.

Obviously I am not on board with mandatory DNA tests, nor am I on board to have them covered by the taxpayer or insurance. Why should everyone else pay because some Breeders cannot figure out their paternity problems?

Yes and no. It would be good to make men who breed and run be held financially accountable for the bastards they help make, but at the same time, it would also suck if a guy finds out he's been raising another man's kid for 15 years and then up and abandons the kid because of it. Not to mention where the money would come from to pay for all the tests, and I'm sure some men would find ways to avoid taking them.

I have a feeling a lot of families would get up-ended when a bunch of guys learn their kids aren't really their kids because their Moo-wives had affairs, got pregnant and decided to just not say anything about it. The divorce rate would skyrocket, and I imagine domestic violence would increase as well. If a guy is suddenly on the hook for brat support or finds out his son is actually his nephew, my guess is he's gonna beat the shit out of his wife/girlfriend/baby momma.

I would also wager that the number of kids in the system may increase when men find out their kid isn't theirs and says either the kid goes or he does - some Moos are so desperate to keep a dick in them that they would absolutely surrender their kid for their man. Also possibly the number of kids getting killed by men who either find out they are not the father or who find out they ARE the father and don't want to be.

I think the negatives may outweigh the positives, honestly.

I vote No here. Being that GOP is pushing it, definitely NO. Paternity tests reveal DNA info. Who will keep such information, who will it be sold to, how will it be used against the kid/parents in the future... Again, if this is coming from GOP, it's not going to be what they say it is going be, no matter what is promised. We already went to war over "weapons of mass destruction", killed countless innocent people in process. Give something to GOP and there WILL BE casualties.

BTW, paternity tests are available now, upon request. Having mandatory Paternity/DNA tests, to me, it sounds too Der Führer like. Again, I'm against it

Facts. I was about to post something similar. In theory, involving the Government in prosecuting deadbeat parents sounds like a win, but the GOP will figure out a way to use the information against women, of that I am sure.

DNA tests are readily available. I would be on board with a statute of limitations type of thing. Like, you have two years to test your kid after it's born. Fail to do so, and you've just lost your right walk away.

The "think of the poor menz!" argument just irritates me frankly. The way the "poor menz" can think of themselves is to strap on a condom each and every time they have sex. And don't have sex with crazy unstable bitches.

The number of guys who whine about "it's like taking a shower with a raincoat on," is pathetic. They prioritize maximum dick sensation over the possibility of fathering a child they don't want.

And yes, it's vile when women lie about being on birth control, but MANY WOMEN telegraph their intentions and their baby rabies and how they luuuv the babies but they will tell a guy they don't want one right now. Guys just aren't paying attention, but they should be.

It's a lot more costly to raw dog it. Be careful where you spill your sperm. Problem solved.
