And when birth rates plummet because women are too scared to have sex, the same people who want to restrict abortion will be screaming that not enough babies are being born.
Man if I wanted kids, I would absolutely not have them now. Not when some asshole in a white coat can look me in the eye and tell me that I have to die because a fetus is more important than me.
So I wonder where the funding will come from when the system is flooded with hundreds - if not thousands - of children who are given up for adoption that need to be cared for? Or will we just make adoption illegal too?
The people who impose such restrictions on women's healthcare don't take time to consider the long-term ramifications of their decisions. To them, it's all black and white: ban abortion = no more abortions happen. They don't consider that women will put themselves at risk attempting DIY abortions. Or that women will surrender kids they never wanted in the first place, putting the burden of that child on the state. Or that women may give birth at home so no one knows they're pregnant and then buries the loaf alive in the backyard. Or, if women feel pressured to raise these kids they don't want, the rates of neglect and abuse will skyrocket because these unwilling mothers will absolutely take their anger out on those kids.
Buy heyyyyyy at least some clumps of DNA won't get aborted, right? It's obviously MUCH better for a child to get forced into existence and then get abused than to get it removed before it can think or feel.
I want a list of all the lawmakers who are against abortion. I want the list made public, and any woman who is forced to give birth because of abortion restrictions can list those lawmakers on the birth certificate as the legal parents of their kids. Then go after them for child support. I bet when their bullshit decisions cost them money personally, they'll backpedal.

Yeah, figured it was a matter of time. They were sure that punting the issue back to states would work, but turns out that a lot of states are fine with keeping abortion legal and safe and accessible.
Turning out this way for other issues, too. It's up.to the states until the states decide something the conservatives don't like.

Yep! That's why I had a hysterectomy in 2014 (alongside other reasons).
