An extreme case of "why tf don't people parent their children"
July 16, 2025
A six year old was running rampant in a maternity ward where his mother had been admitted. Several people complained about him running in the hallways and entering people's rooms so the nurses told his mother. She predictably did nothing, which ultimately resulted in the kid finding his way into the neonatal unit where he dropped a premature infant on her head, killing her.

(the embedded link feature isn't working for me right now, sorry)

They ought to hold the negligent mother responsible for the death. But we all know they won't.

The hospital will probably get sued since they have deeper pockets.

I sure hope Moo is proud of herself. Because she couldn't be arsed to wrangle her brat, someone else's newborn died. But knowing breeders, she'll probably excuse it by saying, "Ohhh he didn't know what he was doing" or "he just wanted to play with her!" Like that makes it okay that he killed an infant.

Was there no security in this hospital? Or family members that could have been contacted to collect the boy brat while his Moo stayed at the hospital? I can't say why didn't the nurses stop him because they already have enough shit to do without babysitting some lazy ass Moo's brat. Why didn't they threaten to throw the Moo out if she couldn't be bothered to control her brat?

I wonder if the boy brat intentionally threw the loaf down. The article described someone else in an entirely different room hearing the impact of the loaf's head against the floor, and a six-year-old isn't that tall that dropping anything would make that much noise if the loaf just kind of slipped out of his hands by accident. I think the fucker is probably a sadistic little shit and intentionally went after a vulnerable child to hurt it on purpose. Especially since the boy brat was just sitting all nice and calm in a chair while the loaf laid on the floor when someone came in to see what happened. He didn't tell anyone or freak out or cry - just chilled with a seemingly dead child in front of him.

Though given the newborn was facing the world with a name like "Zayneb-Cassandra," maybe the free-range brat did it a favor by dropping it.

That stood out to me, too. Tiny premature infant, but the impact was loud enough to be heard outside the room.

If moo was there she may have just given birth and the brat may have made his feelings known thinking what he dropped was the new member of the family

She had just given birth, but the brat knew the baby was someone else's because her family had already chased him away at least once. He may have been angry that he was getting a sibling but he knew it wasn't her. Which I think makes it more horrible. He just wanted to hurt something.

Well if that's the case, the boy brat's Moo better padlock the new loaf's door and keep the key on her at all times because the kid might decide to "accidentally" drop his sibling too.

I think the article said something about the boy thought the baby was a doll, I guess because it was so small? I'm pretty sure even a six-year-old child can tell the difference between a real infant and a toy.

I do hope the mother of the deceased child sues both the hospital for negligence and the boy brat's Moo for manslaughter and emotional distress. Because while Moo herself may not have been the one to kill the kid, her refusal to wrangle her own damn brat resulted in the death of someone else's very delicate infant. Parents need to be held accountable for their brats' behavior when they are under the age of 18.

Iirc apparently the kid said that the first time he went in the room with her, and her family told her she wasn't a toy and to get out. The child and his mother are both culpable here imho, as far as a six year old can be. He definitely knew better than to drop her and he knew people had told him to stop.

I would like to know what family he has besides his mother. If she was bedridden and alone in the hospital, it's not like she could chase him down. Someone should have been there to watch him, or to get him the fuck out when he refused to behave. One can only hope that the hospital policy changes for the better because of this fiasco.

Sensible hospitals don't allow brats under a certain age, (usually 12) past the first floor. That is because hospitals are full of disease and the brats can catch 'em, not to mention incidents like this one. Children under 12 should be at home with family and or a baby sitter.
