Moos who hate animals

There is a thread over on dogfree about how someone realized what real love is after having a brat and now their dog is way down the hierarchy.
One moo admitted that she started hating animals after her sprog was born, a disturbing side effect that happens to some of them.

I kinda get the impression that these moos hate the fact that the world does not bow to them as it used to. Many of them remember the days back 30 years ago and more when people expected a baby in a pram and lost their crap over it, now it could be a cat instead.
It is like the moos lost their status

Dunno...if your emotions are so fickle, you're probably not a safe mother. You could have a second kid and start hating the first one.

That could be a good chunk of it. Women are brainwashed into believing that their only value is in incubation and childbirth, so someone giving the same attention to an animal (or heaven forbid, a c-section baby or *gasp* an adopted child) is a threat to their core identity. If adopting a pet is the equivalent of giving birth, what did they sacrifice their life and independence for?
