"Wellness influencer" bleeds out during birth

According to The Guardian she started bleeding uncontrollably during her attempt to pretend it was the 17th century and was rushed to the hosptial. They used all available blood supply of her blood type to save her no avail. If someone was brought in and needed some of that they would've been out of luck due to this idiot.

That's definitely the worst part. If she wants to take herself out, that's her choice, but she took potentially life saving resources away from someone who maybe didn't inflict their terrible situation on themselves.

So when Moo decides to forsake all medical care, why does she all of a sudden change her mind when she develops complications? After all, she wants to be all-natural, right? Well, women died a LOT in all-natural births prior to medicine. She should have embraced her birthing complications and subsequent death as a natural part of the birthing process and a consequence of her failure to seek proper medical evaluation. It's a shame the hospital wasted all that blood on a dumbass who was too selfish and brain-dead to get pre-natal care.

Reminds me of the people who refused vaccination during covid but sure as hell showed up at the hospital when they couldn't breathe. They don't trust science until it's scary. And sometimes that's too late.

Why are people so eager to regress as far as anything health-related anymore? Unassisted birth, denial of the existence of a pandemic, vaccine refusal, choosing essential oils over real medicine. Do these idiots realize the average life expectancy used to be 30 for a reason?

I'm a big Star Wars fan. Star Wars fandom circles are an absolute dumpster fire because of toxic assholes. Their current target of ire seems to be almost anything woman- or POC-led and the sequel trilogy (which is both woman and POC led, so, yeah). One of the repeated complaints is "how did everybody just forget about the Jedi and how terrible the Empire was in just a couple of decades?"

And yet, here we are, with a second try at fascism and measles on the rise. Can't wait for the full return of polio and then the bubonic plague, I guess.

I mean we still get cases of the plague in the USA. Not many, like maybe ten a year on average. But since we have antibiotics, it's much easier to treat. But that could definitely change if people decide to shirk treatment in favor of stupid shit like detoxing and clean eating. We already saw how people behave in the face of a contagious virus, so there is no reason to believe they would act any differently when dealing with a bacterial infection.

I mean look at that cunt from a few years ago who knew she had tuberculosis and absolutely refused to get treatment for it and just went about her life while contagious. I think the health department had to get involved and she was arrested and isolated because she was a walking pathogen. Somehow she didn't infect anyone.
