Guy presented himself as a babysitter in order to get access to kids, and I assume he went after nonverbal kids specifically because they wouldn't able to tell anyone what he was doing. While disturbing, I'm honestly surprised more kiddy porn peddlers don't do this. The best victim is one who can't tell anyone they're a victim.
Had he not mentioned something to his friend about his "collection," who knows how long the abuse would have gone on for.

A man who targeted nonverbal autistic children to produce child porn has been sentenced in federal court.
Federal officials announced that William S. Welsh, 30, of State College was sentenced last week to 30 years in prison by Chief U.S. District Judge Matthew W. Brann for production of child pornography.
Throughout 2023, Welsh held himself out as a “babysitter” in order to gain access to several nonverbal and/or autistic toddlers, according to U.S. Attorney Brian D. Miller. He later admitted to a friend that he possessed child pornography and that he had sexually exploited at least one of the toddlers he babysat.
Following an investigation by law enforcement, a series of search warrants executed on Welsh’s cell phones and computer revealed at least 40 videos of child pornography, including violent rape videos of children under the age of five. The search further revealed 11 sexually explicit photographs of a toddler, taken by Welsh when he was babysitting the toddler in January 2023.

Breeders are the same people who will abandon their kids in random store aisles under the assumption that complete strangers will watch said kids. They're also the same ones who will just leave their brats on random relatives' porches/driveways. I'm not the least bit surprised to whom they entrust their brats.
I hate the stereotype that men can't work in child care because people think they all have ulterior motives. But guys like this piece of shit are the reason the stereotype exists.

Assholes who value their wallets and convenience more than their children.
Not much different than those who hire their scumbag relatives to watch their
kids despite knowing them to have addictions or don't really watch them
leaving them open to abuse.
