"We throw out immigrants because theyre taking all the jobs or whatever while throwing money at celebrities with six kids and multi million dollar houses.....wtf. People are idiots. His family can sell their home and downgrade their lifestyle some"

Found this on reddit. A lot of people are disgusted that this guy had six brats, is married to an anti-vaxxer apparently went into HUGE debt with cancer treatments that are not covered by insurance, ignored symtoms until it was too late and now they get $2M in donations when they apparently have a couple of million dollar homes.

If he was not famous no one would care and everyone would be shining a light on the fact that he ignored symtoms and he would generally be seen as an idiot.
I think it maybe the brat angle that helped get the donations rolling in

I just saw something about that...he apparently bought a $4+million home just months ago? And now they're begging for cash. It's disgusting.

So why aren't they selling one of their homes to cover the expenses if they have more than one home? I mean how much space do they need with their household being one person smaller? Also, the guy was still acting right up until 2025 and had roles in things that are set to be released this year. - how could he NOT afford treatments, even if they were not covered by insurance? Also, what the hell was he doing for treatment that it cost so much in the first place that he couldn't afford it as a celebrity? Obviously it fucking failed, whatever it was. Did he do stupid bullshit woo-woo type stuff?

I'm sorry he died, but nobody made him have six goddamn kids and their futures should not become the responsibilites of other Hollywood rich fucks. HE should have been the one to plan better, not assume he was invincible because he was famous.

I've been reading that they were anti-vax, so quite possibly.

I believe a lot of people who are actors can get insurance through the Screen Actor's guild? They probably pay a fortune for it, though, although these people can afford it.

They were probably doing woo-woo stuff. I think he had colon cancer?

I'm really glad people are disgusted by this. Why on earth would anyone in their right mind give money to someone who is in the top 1%? Just because of brats?

Right after he died I heard he has two mansions. I guess this GFM is so they can keep the mansions and his wife doesn't have to work? And he could have had life insurance too. With six kids and a lucrative career there is no excuse to not have a sizable life insurance policy.

Regardless, this seems like a grift to me especially since it was started the day his death was announced. Sell a mansion or two and buy a house they can afford and save the proceeds.

One house is in TX and there is a homestead law there. I'd bet they bought the house late last year so it would be difficult to take it away from them. The grift was planned.

Update: shut up Michelle. If his family has two mansions he isn't hard up. One which was purchased for millions of dollars just days before he died.

There are people out there losing food stamps and slowly starving to death currently. It is less than 1% of people who can purchase a second house costing millions. And know the laws well enough to purchase the second home in a state with a homestead law.

Yeah, none of that was an accident. He helped set up this postmortem grift. I guess they figured if he died, his family might as well make some more money off of him while they could? It's ghoulish.
