Daily dose of outrage from reddit and it's only 9 in the morning

Did any of you see this? I saw it, and hoo boy, I have OPINIONS:

Surprise, kid #5

It's a video of parents "surprising" their children at Christmas with the announcement that mommy and daddy have been rawdogging and she's knocked up with kid #5. I have so many problems with everything that comes next, lol.

One of the older boys bursts into tears in response and says he has to text his dad. Moo asks him why he's crying (I don't know this kid and *I* can tell he's upset, but apparently she thought it might be happy tears?) and he says, "You're already pregnant?" He gestures at the youngest and says, "She's only 10 months old!" The self-awareness with which he says it is infuriating. When you see a kid who talks like an adult, 99% of the time it's because of something awful. I would bet cash that he's already helping raise the two younger kids. I would further bet that he's completely aware of the dynamic change where some of the kids belong to the current BF/husband, and some don't. Stuff like that doesn't fly over kids' heads. If the new guy makes any difference between moo's older kids and his own, all of the children will know it. Whatever the reasons, I have no doubt the kid's tears are valid.

Then the bitch tries to argue him down, telling him she "thought he'd be happy." You know how you find out if kids would be happy with a sibling? You fucking talk to them. But if she really cared about his opinion, she'd have told BF/new hubby to put down the phone and she'd be talking to her child, rather than laughing at the funny "I'm having a real crisis and no one else cares" response.

Then when he asks her why they're having another kid, she says she guesses god decided they needed another baby.

What. A. Fucking. Cunt.

Be honest with your kid. Tell him that what you want matters more than what he wants, that he wasn't important enough in the decision making to even warrant a conversation, and acknowledge that it was your choice, not some imaginary sky daddy. And if you live somewhere that abortion is illegal, well...you can afford to feed five kids, you can afford a trip out of state.

I wish we could follow up on stuff like this later. I'd love to find out that the poor kid grew up, got therapy, and moo/stepidiot complain that he never visits....

I have a feeling the one who's crying probably gets neglected a lot, especially given that he is a stepkid now (at least I assume since he says he has to text Dad). He's likely a behind-the-coucher while Moo is making some replacement kids with her new husband/boyfriend. I think the boy in the black hoodie and the older girl must be Moo's kids from her previous marriage, the oldest boy is her stepson and the youngest girl is the first spawn of Moo and her new partner.

I feel bad for the kid. He has more sense than either of his parents and they just laugh at his reaction. The dumbfuck Moo is adding a fifth kid to the house and I'm sure the oldest kids are all seeing varying levels of neglect because of the not-even-one-year-old. He probably saw his parents ignore and blow off his needs in favor of the shiny new brat and he'll get ignored even more now when the fifth kid is born. Maybe he can go live with his biological father since it sounds like they still have a relationship. Maybe he'll get more attention since his broodmare Moo is too busy crapping out unnecessary siblings. I'd like to think the bio dad will hear the distress in the kid's voice and ask for custody.

Nobody needs that many fucking kids. God didn't decide anything - Moo decided to fuck without protection.

I feel bad for him, too. And the mother's reaction outrages me. "I thought you'd be happy." Why? Why would you think that? Breeders are so big on "you don't know real love until you have kids," "nobody knows my kids like I do," but she had no clue how he would feel about another sibling added to the pile. I don't get it. Either ask your kids if they want more siblings, or don't act shocked when they aren't thrilled that you're making their lives worse.

The fact of the matter is that breeders don't really care about how their kids feel. It's all about them and what they want. They want another mini me, so that's what they made. They will lose interest in it once it gets older. This cycle will continue until moo hits menopause.

They really don't. How often do you hear of parents consulting their kids on whether to add to the household? They'll swear their kids mean everything to them, but when it comes to stuff like this, their previous kids don't matter at all.

He is just expected to watch them every time mommy or daddy wants to do something other than parent. Take the younger siblings with him when he plays, which loses him friends because no kid wants to deal with that. And make them snacks. That's all. Not raising the kids though.

100% this. Kids don't get a vote. But that doesn't stop parents from making kids help with younger siblings because they're famblee and all. Even little kids like this boy, who is still a child.

And I've seen videos of teenagers melting down because their dumb parunts divorced, remarried and insisted on having "one of their own" so the teen knows as soon as the loaf is announced that there is no longer any money for college. The teen is melting down because their future has been destroyed, they worked hard to make good grades as a requirement from the parunts to pay for college and they've been screwed. The melt down is reasonable.

The teen is also aware that living with the parunts after high school is a really bad idea now that they have a new loaf. Old parunts are going to be looking for a bratsitter and teen is going to be expected to help out.
